Actually Hope was intended to be Jean Grey reincarnated. The hatred that many Jean stans have for the character is more of an accumulation of things. They gave her Phoenix powers, a green/gold costume, and red hair when if she was supposed to have been an original character they could've made her look like anything.

Yardin is still on covers, though no new covers for us yet. It seems pretty clear we will have the return of certain teamates including Syrin in this 6 issue arc.

That was kinda obvious. Syrin though will have the quickest appearance though since its a probably a darkest hour summon. Rahne and Darwin obviously have a role to play along with Tier.

Claremont was never able to accept her as once of his Claremozians as Polaris Mistress of Magnetism, personally I have always felt because her powers and persona were to much like Storm, but for whatever reason that was the reality.

Him getting rid of her power over electromagnetism, turning her into a mutant female She-Hulk and as the article says planning on giving her a new code name was about changing the character entirely to make her different enough from Polaris Mistress of Magnetism so he felt he could write her as a strong and interesting character.

Oh I get why he did it, I just didn't like it. I truely believe he wanted to use Lorna and find something to do for her, but there was really nothing to work with (that probably would've been different if they had made her Magneto's daughter from the get-go). So she was just the girl who wanted a normal life and helped the X-Men if something major happened. But when he crafted this Zaladane story I guess he found something to like about the character and ran with it. Similarly how he only started using Havok when he didn't have to use Cyclops anymore. I think the only X-Character he never gained any interest in was Iceman.

I often forget the core reason as to why the character of Polaris is so important to me, but when I do remember, I remember why I relate to Lorna so well, and why escaping into her story gives me strength, and sometimes, energy :) <3

Its been a question that has come up alot reciently on other boards... with fans asking themselves if they should or shouldn't give a damn about Polaris and if so why.

If you like the character, and found that you could personally, emotionally relate to their development- then you should carry on caring about their future development, because this character has meant more to you than mere entertainment, and probably still does. Same goes for Lorna.

Obviouly- everyone has their own feelings about why Lorna's story is directly important to them, and thus what people think is the best future development will always vary.

Wondering whether or not you should care so much, means she probably does matter to them, just not as strongly as other characters. And so you need to weigh up whether you have the time and money to invest in her.

I can say I only Lorna as we know her I would stick with, no matter what.

I really care about Jean, Rogue, Emma, Magneto, Rachel, most of X-Factor... but not obstinately.

As we know her would be a core term here. Different writers and different x-fans have very different takes on who she should be as a character.

Well yes, unless she fundamentally changed...
