Happy New Year Lionel and happy New Year for everyone on the Polaris Thread!!!

Two questions speaking of Lorna's power, intelligence, durability, etc ratings how would you rank them if you had your say using the usual 1-7 Marvel scale?

Also, if we are staying with a variation on her space outfit how would you like to see it depicted?

    STRENGTH : 3
    INTELLIGENCE: 3
    ENERGY PROJECTION: 6
    ENDURANCE: 3
SPEED: 5(This was updated to 5 in the handbook)
    FIGHTING ABILITY:3

AOA Rogue could augment her strenght with Lorna's magnetic powers. I wonder if Lorna could be able to do that too.

I liked Justin Weaver's version of Lorna's outfit.

The X-Men as a whole have much lower power ratings than the other Marvel Universe characters.

Her ability to create some of the most powerful force fields should put her durability at a 6 which is rated super human. The subheading on that category states "Ability to resist or recover from bodily injury" and does not take into account the resist part for her. Her shields have blocked the pressure of an entire ocean.

Intelligence I would have ranked above "Learned" (3) to at least "Gifted" (4).

All the other rankings I would probably keep the same. I wasn't sure on Energy Projection because a 6 says "able to discharge multiple forms of energy" and for fighting ability some of the X-Men have a lower rating than her even though I've seen them fight more.

Definitely. I know she can lift 100 tons with her powers, but they don't seem to measure the strength category that way.

Even without their shields Magneto and Lorna have taken blows certainly fatal to any human being.

Magneto has seemingly jacked up his strength using his powers for fist fights so he can get into fist fights with the likes of Herc, Wolverine or Colossus. Lorna usually doesn't get into first fights so we have yet to be shown if she can do that, but I would expect so.

I would put a 6 on her for Durability, 4 for Intelligence, 3 for Fighting Ability, 6 for Energy Projection, 5 for Speed.

WHAAAM! Ouch!!! Luckily her instinct to shield probably kicked in right before getting smashed by that tree. As for fighting skills, I'm just guessing she got a bump from her hulked up days when she lost her magnetic powers.

Other then her hulked up days she has never gotten into fist fights that I recall. I am not counting her being punched in the face and having her jaw broken during her first run on X-Factor.

Magneto has the biggest family in the MU with his three children and three grandchildren and counting all who married into his family all they need to do is give us a real house of m book starting the whole family and let Po and summer have a kid to add to the family with a whole lot of action after all Mags and his family is one of the most heated and feared in the MU. Oh and who do y'all think should be queen of the house of m.

Scary thing, you just made me imagine a House of M reality TV show, which of course would spawn a spinoff of a reality TV show starring the Summers family.

I have long believed that a family ongoing would do very well in the right hands as they are basically the anti-Fantastic Four, but the turf war between the Avengers part of the franchise and the x-franchise over control of the characters makes such an ongoing quite unlikely.

The time it had the best hope of happening was immediately post HoM when Bendis and the Avengers franchise had no use for Wanda and Pietro. The x-books took on Pietro and were using him, but they booted Lorna into space and had no real interest at that time with doing anything with Magneto.

I think it work best as a limited series. Something similar to what Paul Jenkins and Jae Lee did in that Inhumans series. That was a great series.

Well I LOVED Son of M and wanted that to turn into a Quicksilver ongoing. I think that book could have worked, especially if they expanded the supporting cast to include members of his family
