News from Jordan White
Hi, are Magneto, Gambit and Rogue in space for the majority of the Schism arc?
No, they do appear in Schism in supporting roles. The space arc happens before Schism.

Polaris should totally wear that
And if you complain once more
You'lll meet an army of me
This is a potentially pleasant surprise. I was under the impression this whole time that the whole space arc would run during Schism. I hope Polaris, Rachel and Havok get to participate. If they do, they're certain to add enough drama to make the storyline really shine. And probably have me spending a ridiculous amount of money to read all the material coming out involving Schism so I'd understand everything taking place. :P

I doubt they will be in the main Schism story. There is small chance if they are on Utopia we will see them in the background, but there is no certainty that Alex and Lorna won't decide to go off to New Mexico or stay in space at the end of the space mini, well we will know more hopefully tomorrow when the X-Pannel happens.
That's very true, and it's smart to be cautious rather than optimistic. I'm normally really pessimistic, but Lorna coming back finally, getting to interact with Magneto on top of it, and that excellent cover by Mico Suayan all have me in a very positive mood.
Despite Lorna still not being added to Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. :P But I can jump to conclusions that that could be more Capcom's fault than Marvel's at the moment because Capcom has been getting really really bad since Inafune left. Canceling highly anticipated game projects then blaming the cancellation on the fans supposedly not wanting it badly enough, releasing a whole new version of the game a mere 9 months after the first version, keeping some of the most highly praised games in Japan only, and trying to "westernize" what few IPs they have left with "westernize" apparently meaning "turn Resident Evil into Modern Warfare and turn Dante from Devil May Cry into a cliche poser kid obsessed with trying to be cool." Only thing Capcom is doing lately that stands out in a positive manner is Dead Rising 2: Off the Record.
Yeah, I hope that Lorna, Alex and Rachel are all just abscent from Schism previews due to them being on a holiday or something, and not still in space. Frankly, giving the characters a holiday and returning to them to active duty post-Schism seems like the most appropiate and sensible thing to do.
"We can fight all day, Sunfire. But I still won't belong to anyone- but myself. And it's been a while since I've been able to say that."- Polaris, X-Men #187.
That would be the best idea rather then them deciding to live the simple life on Earth away from the X-Men only to be forced to be roped into their affairs again or them staying in space. The only problem is of course if all hell breaks loose for mutants in Schism they won't look too good not cutting short their vacation unless its on a tropical Island somewhere with little to no communication with the rest of the world.![]()
While I can see them wanting to take a holiday break after their long ordeal in space, I just can't see any of them not wanting to get involved in the events of Schism after being kept out of the loop for so long. All three of them have a huge stake in events, Scott as Rachel's father, Scott as Havok's brother, and Magneto as Polaris' father.
Marvel may have different plans and all, and maybe they'd find a reasonable justification for the three of them not getting involved, but just sitting here with things as they are now I simply can't see one.
Lets face it game makers dislike Lorna as a character and I believe it has to do with them seeing characters through their powers not their personalities so they see her as a Magneto clone. Some female characters who have the same powers as a male character have enough popularity where they can overcome that and get into games anyway (think She Hulk and X-23). But, Lorna certainly isn't there at least in the mind of most not hard core fans.
