I really enjoyed the Holland-Germany game myself, Ozil was great to watch, and the Dutch went for it too. It wasn't a defensive display, that was the problem, they couldn't defend. I was surprised Huntelaar's touch was so poor though.

As for Spurs, not sure what's going to happen there now, but Modric is probably off to Man U now.

Glad Di Matteo's got the job at Chelsea, next item on the list, new stadium.

Harry Redknapp believes he would have been sacked by Tottenham even if they earned Champions League qualification.

Swansea City are close to revealing Michael Laudrup as their new manager.
The Swans hope to name the former Real Madrid, Barcelona and Denmark playmaker as Brendan Rodgers's successor over the weekend.

Germany and Portugal have been fined by Uefa following events during their Euro 2012 match on Saturday night.
The German Football Association was docked 10,000 euros (£8,000) after supporters threw missiles on to the pitch during the Group B game.
German fans threw screwed-up paper at Portugal players and were repeatedly warned through speaker announcements.
The Portuguese FA was fined 5,000 euros (£4,000) after players returned late for the second half, delaying kick-off.

Wigan chairman Dave Whelan says he has had no approach from Tottenham for Roberto Martinez, but would not prevent him from speaking to the club over the vacant manager's position.

England are too "predictable" and "stereotyped" to beat Sweden on Friday, according to their opponents' former skipper Jonas Thern.
England drew 1-1 with France in their opening game while Sweden were beaten 2-1 by Ukraine, but Thern believes the Scandinavians are the better team.
"The one shot towards the France goal over 90 minutes was all it took to ignite the chronic English illusion of world football supremacy," he said.
"Their style of play is predictable."

Norwich City boss Chris Hughton will be handed the club's largest ever transfer budget to help establish the Canaries as a force in the Premier League.

If you're some like Levy and you see your manager conducting contract negotiations on live telly then frankly that would be the straw which breaks the back. There's a lot of Spurs fans happy to see Redknapp and his sideshow fuck off into the distance.

The Palestine Football Association (PFA) has asked European football's governing body Uefa to bar Israel from hosting a tournament next year over Palestinian players in detention.

Israel is due to host the European Under-21 championship in 2013.

PFA President Jibril Rajoub wrote to Uefa to express concern about three Palestinian players who are being held in Israel without charge.

One of them, midfielder Mahmoud al-Sarsak, is on hunger strike.

I might take a wander down to Ashton Gate for the Gillingham game for a laugh if ticket prices are reasonable.

Ireland are going to take a serious pumping in this game. They're so bloody poor.

That seems a bit low, he scored 18 goals for Blackburn last season.

So, Redknapp didn't get England, and he didn't stay at Tottenham either? Couldn't have happened to a more deserving guy.

I was impressed by England last night. Yes, the goals they let in were shocking defensive errors, Ashley Young was mainly pointless and Andy Carroll failed to win any header bar one but they came back well against Sweden with Walcott showing the sort of form he's more than capable of.

But the most pressing question is what owls look like the English manager?

John Terry also proved his not only a waste of human skin, but a waste of a football shirt too.
