The artists of the JL book cant even be consistent about the simplest thing: WW's tiara. You'd think they'd be consistent with Cyborg's that's so intricate and detailed?
I mean it doesn't have to be exactly the same down to the smallest detail, but we don't see big inconsistancies liek this with other leaguers. Sure the tiara is drawn differently on occasion, but she always has a tiara. For Cyborg his design is drastically different between artists. I'm ususally pretty easy going but this is some gross negligence. Who is the editor on this book.
Also check it out guys. Gene Ha kills it with Cyborg again. Here we get an image of Cyborg of Earth 23

I really like this look for Cyborg:

It can use some more cover to fill in some of the white, but I still really like the overall design.
It seems to me that rather than considering it as inconsistent, Cyborg seems to be evolving and becoming more and more trim, this could be due to his updating himself on a regular basis, look at what he looked liked at the start of New 52 compared to now, imo the creators are doing it gradually, rather than fans opening a book one month and his look has abruptly changed and people start complaining how he changed with no hint it would happen, this way people see the change as it occurs as we are noticing now, its sorta like watching a character's hair grow from short to long. I think the creators are giving us what most of us have been asking for,a sleeker Cyborg.
Dorothy: How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking.
Gotta love those Wizard of Oz quotes

Trying to figure some things out now that the new 52 has been around for a few months.
- Cyborg got his powers in the JL 5 years ago.
- He is a founding member of the Justice League.
- In Red Hood and the outlaws #1, Roy mentioned that Victor was one of Starfire's friends, meaning they might have worked together before.
- The Teen Titans of the new 52 seems to be a new team, it does not seem like the original version or the Wolfman/Perez team existed.
- In Stormwatch#1 the Martian manhunte indicated he was a member of the League before.
So my questions now are -
1. Is the new Justice League issues still taking place 5 years ago or are they back to "real" time (I have not picked up new issues since #7 because I am switching to trades) ? If still in the past I am guessing at some point Vic leaves the team to make friends with the "original" Titans in some capacity (maybe they never became a team in the new 52).
2. Any clues among the many other titles on if Cyborg did indeed work with the others like Starfire or Nightwing?
3. Any idea when the Martian was a Leaguer (not a Cyborg question , sorry )?

Also Geoff Johns confirmed Cyborg and Shazam (Billy Batson) are going to be friends
http://www.comicbookresources.com/?p...ticle&id=39772Johns also said Cyborg and Shazam will become good friends and may have a little fun with their powers, perhaps irresponsibly. "I want to create a friendship like Hal and Barry had and Ted and Booster had."
Revelations about Cyborg from Justice League #9
-Okay so as of issue #9, we get a good sense that Batman trusts Cyborg, seeing as he has no problem calling him for help. Obviously not on the level he does Superman, but enough to call him outside of when the League is together. Also he and his dad are clearly not getting along:

And Lastly as of Justice League #10-11
Justice League #10
we see that unlike the other Justice LEague members Cyborg doesn't have a secret identity. This is probably his most unique aspect to his character in regard to the rest of the team. He is constantly Cyborg, their is no alter ego for Victor stone he can relax as. Than the shocking realization here is that Cyborg cannot "unplug from the internt." Not sure whether this implies he can't help receiving all the information surrounding computers and technology has to offer or its just become so second nation to him since his transformation that he doesn't know how to stop from interfacing with the internet and technology the way he does. Who knows, it will be interesting to see how Johns continues to develop him.
Also I found it a little shocking that Aquaman, flash and Wonder Woman didn't know more about Superman and Batman. I mean Batman already told Hal who he was in Justice League #5. Not that the members have to share everything with one another, they have their own individual lives outside the league, but I don't know I just assumed everyone would know who Superman is by now, not just Batman and Cyborg.
Justice LEague #11
spoilers:end of spoilers
apparently he is partially dead. In this issue the rest of the League sees spirits of loved ones they have lost. All except Cyborg who sees his own spirit. This is not a direction I envisioned Johns taking Cyborg in so I guess will see where he goes. I suspected, Cyborg would see the spirit of his mother or something, but I guess not.
Here is my one nitpick about this version of the Justice League. I don't know why DC went out of the way to have all 7 members losing one or more of their parents. Originally it was really just a defining element of Batman's origin....... and Superman's I guess if you count his Kryptonian parents. But now Johns has killed off Barry's mom, he is Hal's dad's death much more of an integral part to the character, Aquaman's father was murdered, Wonder Woman's mother was turned to stone, And Superman's father is dead (I'm aware DC has killed off Pa Kent before in past continuity). And we have to remember Victor's mother died in a lab accident.
Not sure if it was intentional on DC's part but I don't think its as powerful to the team dynamic if every member of the team has tragically lost a parental figure. Anyway. Thats my update on Cyborg's status in the new 52.
*And spoilers outside for those who want to know:
-Cyborg is slated to appear in the next DC Animated
-The Teen Titans cartoon is coming back in new format on DC nation. The new show is called Teen Titans Go! it is a comedy, with more of a sitcom like setting and pacing. Also the character designs have been tweaked to be more Chibi(big head small body) in presentation
