Which Is Worse: Peter Dying or Bendis Leaving

Actually I'm referring to those who quit on the line two yrs ago. Alot of people in other comic sites I was in stated what was in the last paragraph.

This does not bother me. I like reading just one writer on a book and when their done then thats it. Its part of the reason I dont read or care for marvel and DCU.

Kirkman has invincable and what iv read of it so far I find it to be pretty colose to Ultimate Spider-man in a way so i would say take a look at that if you havent.

But that's the thing, it's Image. Creators always stay and end their books in independent company books. Spawn is an exception but Todd's been involved in the book still from time to time. Kirkman has stated he wants to stay till #500 and since he created the character entirely he has that right.

Bendis did create Ultimate Spiderman but it was highly inspired by Amazing Spiderman by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Plus, other Ultimate character have been written by multiple writers in succession so it isn't too far fetched. But we won't know in several yrs since he now has a new Spidey to play with.

Yea I know. Thats just me, Iv have been losing interest in Marvel and DCU(the 2 books I buy) for a while now and the changing writers is part of the reason. If Peter had not died and Bendis stepped down I think I would have stopped buying the title. Again though thats just me.

UM!!! What's Ultimate Spiderman? Image? Dynamite? It can't be Marvel could it?

I'm going with Pete dying. As others have said, it would have been neat to see another writer dabble in the Bendis made world. I wasn't loving USM under Bendis near the end.

That said its remarkable that we got 160 issues of Bendis penned goodness. A rarity in todays comic world. Losing Pete ends his story, Bendis can still tell great stories elsewhere or with a new Spidey. Pete's gone.
