I wonder if they will. The Stormwatch HCs aren't even deluxe so it leads me to believe they don't care too much about them. On the other hand maybe they didn't release them in deluxe because they have future plans for omnibus treatment. I doubt it but maybe.

there are two reasons that I think/hope they will, 1) they're re-releasing Stormwatch(hopefully Authority too) and Wildcats in hardcover books and 2) with the release of Bru's Sleeper, a Stormwatch/Authority omnibus or two would be a perfect lead into Bru's own Authority run.

But again, who knows what DC is gonna do. I'm just happy with some of the stuff they're decided to put out

If they did I'd stick with the regular HCs since the art isn't all that great and doesn't need over sizing (for SW) but I'd be very surprised to see an omnibus edition come out right after releasing HCs.

I don't see them doing a SW omni, but one or more Authority omni's seems very possible :)

I'm really hoping for a Planetary omnibus to come along soon. I missed out on the absolutes and I think it's a book that would really benefit from the oversized art. It would also seem the ideal size for an omnibus.

Spend this morning shopping for comics and found some good deals. Fables 1, 2 and 3 deluxe editions and The New Teen Titans Games book. All look gorgeous and I can't wait to read them. Got a few european comics too, like a beautiful box-set of Blacksad with all volumes inside, Siegfried vol. 2 and 3 and also got Genetiks vol. 1. Lots of reading to do :)

Same here. I loved the first three volumes, but haven't had a chance to finish it. I just can't justify buying the fourth volume right now. Beside that, I'd rather wait for an omnibus.

Really? It only goes for about $10 That is some willpower. I read them all straight through and can't imagine stopping at vol 3, especially considering vol 4 is only $10. Unless you're looking at the HC then it's more.

I know, but the thing is I read them years ago. I don't own copies of the previous volumes, save for the first, so I'd have to buy all of the remaining volumes to get a full perspective on the story.

Well, that and, I'm flat broke currently and have no room in my budget for comics, delicious or otherwise.

I'm right there with you on the budget thing. You can probably find/request them from a library.

That doesn't sound like a bad idea. My library isn't known for having the most variety, but I guess I could try requesting. Thanks!

** Global Frequency in TPB, WTF??!! I wanna kill someone!!! How come it's not a Deluxe Edition?!
Same with Punk Rock Jesus, I was sure they would release it straigh to OHC like Joe The Barbarian and Spaceman (PRJ promises to be one of this year's greatest hits)

** For Brubaker fans you got Sleeper Omnibus (not interested, personally, but I'm happy to see more Vertigo -or ex WS- Omnibuses)

** The new Hellblazer chronological TPB collection starts with the legendary Ennis run!! Ans wraps-up the great Delano run. 352 pages for 19.99, bargain!

** American Vampire HC Vol. 5 includes the Lord Of Nightmares miniseries along with 6 issues from the regular series for 24.99 (well-done vertigo!)

    ** 100 Bullets Vol. 4 is almost 500 pages!

** Vertigo Animal Man gets a Vol. 4, starting the Milligan run post-Morrison (gonna skip it though, wish it went to HC)

** And the Books Of Magic Deluxe we all knew from Amazon pre-orders.

I'm very happy with Vertigo prices but I wish some old TPB stuff (like Global Frequency) was given the Deluxe treatment, it really deserves it...
And STILL no Transmetropolitan Omnibus or Deluxe Editions! Shame on you DC!

Considering it's only been a year or so since they wrapped up the new trade reprints, it'll probably be awhile before Transmet gets another upgrade in format...

Was there anything particularly special about the new editions? I already have 0-10, so I wasn't so sure I was ready to replace them.

I didn't own the older editions, so to be honest I'm not sure. I think they reorganized a few issues here and there, but as far as new content, none that I'm aware of.
