According to the ever reliable Wikipedia he came on at issue #19 left at issue #63 with a Doom Force one shot somewhere in there.

Adding up the page counts from amazon of the 6 Doom Patrol trades gives a total of 1304 pages. So 2 possible volumes?

DC most likely won't do two. If its 1300 pages were most likely looking at 1 volume of 125-150 dollars. Won't know till we actually get the solicit

Plus the four-part Flex Mentallo which is available in Deluxe. Personally, I hope they do 2 books, but kind of don't think they will.

With the recent Flex release in a recolored deluxe, I doubt they'll include that. I also doubt they'll do two books

Yeah, I agree with the one book. They did that with his Invisibles and I don't think Doom Patrol's name could carry two, well maybe but eh <_<

On the fence about Doom Patrol omnibus. On one hand, Morrison's Morrison and he's never let me down. On the other, I have many Absolutes and Omni's to get and that's just another one. Not one that I was particularly waiting for either.

Should be getting some Absolutes and Omnibuses today too though! Very excited.

Waiting for Doom Patrol, JLA, and I think it's likely that both are on the way in the next 1-2 years.

Hi guys i've read this thread for some time now and the Doom Patrol news was my first post. I too desperately need for his info to be true ;-). I have an order with him (in England) and he approached me with the news. I've since tried to verify it via the net but thus far nothing. He claimed it was in the June previews and is a one volume omnibus. He offered me his staff discount on that and Planetary (hich i've never read but heard great things about). I believe it to be true as i asked him more than once to make sure. Time will tell i guess. As for JLA i bet thats a cert also. Volume 2 hardback is way too expensive at present so i'm gonna wait. (i own vol 1 &3 deluxe at mo). Transmetropolitan would look great collected this way also. Ellis did tweet me saying this wasn't his decision and that he'd be the last to know......

I hope your post isn't your last, but I now doubt your source was correct. I am sure he was just mistaken, but they wouldn't put it in the Previews when it would still be 6+ months away. And if your guy knew, so would others, including us, via Twitter, etc.

Just got Absolute All Star Superman, Absolute Batman and Robin, 52 omnibus, and the replacement from my Christmas copy of Absolute Final Crisis. I am pumped! Great stuff. Currently on the hunt for a new bookshelf, so expect shelf porn soon.
