I think the first 2 years of his run( 2.5 if you count Rebirth) were the best. Really nice build up to things. I think its still a fairly solid title today, but its too big for its own good. I've said numerous time that it would be difficult to collect the modern GL series in omnibus form since it crosses with GLC/GLEW/GLNW and the rest frequently. A series of ohc would benefit the numerous GL titles more than omnibuses

Thanks! I did NOT realise that. The way it was talked about either here or somewhere else led me to believe it was OOP, not to mention I've only ever ordered from Amazon because they've always packaged my stuff impeccably.

Can you (or anyone) tell be how Book Depository are with delievery speed/packaging etc?

EDIT: Free shipping here to Australia?! Surely they're teasing me...

Just wondered WHY the price climb. :) It's still within my range, just. There's a bunch of stuff on my 'wants list', but if the price is going to keep going up like that I may have move it up the order. Thanks for the info re CGN pricing by the way.

So is Johns' JSA good enough to blind buy for someone who loved his Flash and GL Runs (up until SCW ended)?

Personally, I'm convinced that we'll see some omnibuses of it sometime soon

Book Depository are pretty good, but they do not package heavier books well. I used to do all my buying from them, now I get most books over $30us rrp from amazon for better packaging and cheaper prices(preorders). Everything under 30 bucks I buy off BD.

Shipping times to NZ used to be about a week, they've had some trouble leading up to Christmas with shipping taking a month or so will be interesting to see if it goes back to being fast.

And yes it's free shipping worldwide, good times.

Merry Christmas to the thread, Hopefully Santa brought you some great books.

I like when Johns focuses more on individual characters like the Flash, Hawkman and Green Lantern rather than teams, but JSA is "good enough to blind buy".

Went on a bit of a DC preorder spree this week. The Authority HC, Animal Man Omnibus, Sandman Omnibus, Watchmen Deluxe and Solo Deluxe. I was extremely suprised to see some of these while browsing Amazon, but happy to see them. As someone who doesn't really like the Absolute format, getting Watchmen, Animal Man and Sandman in OHC is exciting. Solo, especially, should be great in the format, seeing as it was first and foremost an art showcase to begin with.

@Tomslick- thanks man! Merry Christmas to you too

@ER Prest- I know. Flipping through that Absolute Watchmen is glorious. The binding is absolutely (pun intended) perfect. Although I did notice that my New Frontier is remarkably tight compared to that, and it doesn't lay flat in the end. Maybe I just need to break it in some more. But yeah- I'm very thankful, those are some incredible books.
