I loved today's episode. Sif was the highlight for me. She kicked ass, and looked great doing it.

They've been doing a fantastic job with the females this season between Carol, Brand and Sif.

it's not so much canceled as it's just being replaced with An Ultimate Avengers Cartoon set in the ultimate spider-man universe

Nothing confirmed 100%, but the signs are definitely pointing towards that. Seems they want to rework how they do their animated stuff, by tying them around USM. If they do, EMH will go away, replaced by an "Ultimate" version.

That kind of sucks! I went online and check out some of the guessing going on, but it almost seems like Jeph Loeb is to blame. I never had a problem with Jeph Loeb before, but I seriously think that he has been a real detractor to comic book progress. He wrote some good stuff a while back and now has been doing a great job destroying a lot of stuff. Heroes was a pretty good show...then Jeph Loeb gets involved and it becomes a pure shite!

Now this.

Honestly don't know how much is Loeb's fault. He's the head of that department, sure, but if he's not some absolutist. If he was taking this in a direction that they didn't want, he would get canned. So, he's more the face of the problem. He's out in the open, and he's the biggest name in there. Not to say he's "innocent" in this, but it's not all his fault either.

And yes, fan of both. Though I've not seen a lot of Walker's stuff, what I have seen was very good, and pretty unique. More stylized then most, which I actually really like. Coipel is probably my favorite artist in the business, though. His style has a lot of energy, of kinetic movement, that so many artist lack. His Thor was fantastic. When he draws two gods fighting, it looks like two gods fighting.

I guess that testing to see if USM ratings come from being before EMH is true.

I hope to god, maybe they'll take the freaking hint and not ruin EMH with that garbage.

No, actually according to people who work at Marvel Studios, he was made VP on his ideas regarding the "new approach"; the powers that be are likely going to wait and see how it proves out over a longer period than just a few months. The ratings will determine success or failure, as they should, whether what he does is to my personal taste or not.

I'm getting really excited about the show's take on Secret Invasion story arc but, Season one seemed to be very early in the Avengers history and now we just jumped to a story line that happened 3 years ago? I wish they did the secret war and civil war first.

I think to the writers, it just made sense to group certain events together like how last season the breakout in the first two episodes were caused by loki plus it feels like a no brainer to pair the kree skrull war and secret invasion together.

on topic, i liked the episode but im unsure of how surtur ties into the other stuff.
