Never been a big Jonah Hex fan. But I love Old West stuff and it definitely looks like an interesting book. Will most likely check out #1 and see what I think after that...
Comics were happier before the Internet turned writing superhero stories into fruitless attempts to impress/entertain a small group of ppl who appear to hate comics and their creators.

I've picked up Jonah Hex ever since #59, which was the same month I started buying comics again. I've got a ton of westerns on DVD and I have sixteen volumes of Time-Life's The Old West book collection.
Pretty safe to say I'll be getting this. The artwork they've previewed today is incredible.
instant must-read.

Definitely picking this up, and I fully intend on catching up with Jonah Hex through the trades.![]()
I haven't read a lot of Jonah Hex, but I've liked what I have read, and intend on checking this out. The partnership between him and Arkham seems like it could be particularly interesting.
Every time I describe the basic premise behind All-Star Western's first story arc in the store I work at, I get big interest, whether or not the people are Western fans or even DC fans.
I've been pulling Hex, but if the new series is written for trade, as it sounds, I'm much more inclined to buy the trades rather than the singles.
I started with issue 57 and have since backtracked and found all but three issues. Such an amazing book, along with SecretSix and Batgirl is my favorite DC book currently being published.
And of the 52 Nu books, the only one I'm considering.
Thanks for a great run guys.
When I got back into comics three years ago after a 20 year hiatus, I picked up and read every comic on the stand, and settled into my favorites. I was never a big Jonah Hex fan as a kid, but I always appreciated him when he'd show up in X-Mas specials, Brave and the Bold, whatever.
When I read this volume of Jonah Hex, I have been amazed. The comics, along with Scalped, Grant's Batman, I will never throw away. They are like my old Kanigher Sgt Rock's, timeless, and priceless to me. The Talullah Black issues and Sawbones will probably be buried with me to read through eternity.
Good luck guys on Wierd Western - I'll be with you as I always have. You're right when you say Hex is Hex and you can't stray from him. Put him in a situation and see what happens. - a perfect guide for the GREATEST western comics anti-hero in HISTORY.
I would buy any book these guys wrote, well except Babs as Batgirl. I'm all over this.
Hobos frighten me. It's time my enemies shared my dread.
this was actually one of the books i didn't wanna pick up, but now i have to. The preview pages look awesome and i love victorian jack the ripper kind of stories. So at least the first story arc is now a must read for me.
Likes: Astro City, Batman, JL Dark, American Vampire, Fables, Fairest, iZombie, Sandman, Chew, Empowered, Lady Mechanika, Locke & Key, Moriarty, Mudman, Reed Gunther, Skullkickers ...
The first arc definitely has me but as more news about the book comes out I'll know if I'm sticking with it or off after the arc.
Palmiotti and Gray on more Hex? Totally there. To tell the truth this team of writers hardly ever fails to disappoint. I'll pick up anything they write.

The art alone on Jonah Hex made it worth picking up, whether it be Jordi Bernet or the amazing array of guest artists. Oh and the writing wasn't shabby either.
I'll definitely be picking this up.
