Got my issue 9 today, its pretty sweet! Shredder is looking bad ass. Anyone else notice that the front of the turtles shells looked like shit in this issue? Almost like a piece of cardboard held there by their belts. Maybe its just me.
Check out this sweet comic coming in 2013!

I lost interest in this series up until last week when I was browsing TFAW and came across the cover for #10.

    In short.. I'm interested again.

Hopefully, they'll make him as evil as he was in the Mirage comic but give him the longevity he had in the cartoon, the first cartoon that is.

I really have been enjoying the series despite the upheaval and changes. I think my biggest glitch is the reincarnation thing, that idea's worked so many wonders for Hawkman after all...but I digress. I'm liking how after the build up within the main book and linking the micro-series slow reveal of Shredder has worked without feeling slow, you know like a Bendis book. It also seems they are mirroring, gotta be on purpose, a similar time line of when Shredder appeared in the original 80's comic as well.

I also got my TMNT Ultimate Collection vol. 2 in the mail and it looks fantastic as the first. Guess it's time to pre-order vol.3 to ensure the editions keep coming. Anyone else getting the Ultimate Collection volumes?

Somebody help me out here... Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Classics, Vol. 1 & 2 (and beyond) will reprint all the original series issues that the Ultimate collections won't? I just want to be clear on that before I begrudgingly plop down my dollars for over priced TPs.

EDIT: Oh shit, and they're going to be colored? God. Damn. It.

I thought the Classic TPBs were going to be black and white, while they're also doing something called Color Classics which is single issues in color.

Definitely a bit confusing, either way for now I'm just sticking with the ultimate collections.

I'm going to place my order for the Ultimate TMNT vol.3 soon.
Has there been any news on Ultimate TMNT vol.4 though?
I recall that before I ordered vol.2, that 3 had been solicited.
I worry they aren't going to finish the run.

Issue 10 was awesome! I can't wait for the next issue. I'd say issue 10 is the best one yet.

The new Ninja Turtles series is one of the best comics on the stands. It's one of the most fun out there. I love it !

Get the Ultimate Collections if you can. The first one is already commanding hefty prices online, so look for it at your LCS. And don't wait too long when buying Turtles Collected Editions.
