Default CBR: Slott Paves the Way for "Spider-Island"

"Spider-Island" looms large in Spider-Man's future, but first he must overcome foes like Anti-Venom, Mister Negative, a new Wraith and the ever-present pressure of responsibilities. Slott told CBR about it all.

I'm putting money on Carrion being involved in Spider-Island somehow.

In one of those pics, Spider-Man's got a Spider Tracer on someone. Hopefully that means a return of Pete's Spider senses

Or he's going back to an older version of the Spider-Tracer, that didn't rely on his spider-sense to operate.

I was going to say this as well.

Remember that big gatefold Spidey poster put out at the end of BND, by Marko Djurdjevic? It had all the characters from BND, except curiously Hobgoblin, Jackal, and Carrion all right next to each other. So far, Hobgoblin and Jackal have had big returns in Big Time, so it has me wondering..

Is there any other writer in comics who gushes with such enthusiasm and love for the comic he's writing? It's great to see.

Seriously. There may be others but Slott was born to write Spidey. It's as simple and uncomplicated as that.

You think so? I mean in all the interviews and articles I've read he's always come off as proud of his work and happy to be doing what he's doing BUT not gushing like a giddy school girl...I'm all for people being happy doing what they're doing BUT Dan takes it to a whole nother level thats kinda scary and makes me wonder if he still wears his Spidey PJ's to bed at night

Love them, but Slott just reads like a kid when he talks about this stuff. It's so great.

I think I may have read one of the AA letter pages but I don't specifically recall any type of excessive jubilation about writing the book....I very well could be mistaken as I don't look at the letters pages all the time (in part cause I don't buy the book...I just read it off of somebody/someplace else) BUT based on online interviews and the what not his excitment comes off as a little more tempered then Dan's.

and no I haven't read the letters page to the .1 issue (even though I could've but I skipped it)
