Yay, a talk of Clones between Spider-man and X-23.

Although I must say the relationship between Wolverine and X-23 is truly a complicated one, given how Logan has been treating her or how he hasn't been treating her.

I was almost hoping for a moment where Logan and Spider-man at least discuss the topic of clones during their moments together, and I still hope for that now.

Wolverine needs to stop trying to abandon his fatherly duties. Laura is just a girl and Gambit although doing an admirable job isn't her father/brother.
In fact he should grab Daken too and take them both to the carnival

Phil Noto and Sana Takeda, omg, this book has 100000x better art than all other books.

Sana Takeda is indeed pretty art. Phil Noto is quite a different look. Nice done, but hardly the same vibe.

Was just wondering what Phil Noto was up to the other day, I'll have to pick this up.

    Funny thing

I had a dream a week ago that Liu was my creative writing teacher in college it was fun...save for the fact that in my dream she seemed to be irritated with me the entire time...

Also its nice that they posted my questions considering they answered them last Friday in the last press article...

And Hellion's back already...hmm...a pleasant surprise...but I think it might be too soon...

But Takeda's art would kick ass with his new arms

I personally like both Takeda and Noto: Takeda's got wonderful colouring skills and puts enormous attention into getting lighting and glow effects looking just right. Her character designs are anime inspired with occasionally exagerated expressions, but I kind of like that too.

Noto is almost the polar opposite: he uses a subdued and more minimal colour scheme which manages to carry an old school sophisticated feel to it. His characters are realistically proportioned and convey a lot of with subtle facial expressions.

But it is a shock to the system going from one extreme to the other and back again on consecutive arcs. I guess since Takeda and Noto do both the line art and colours themselves, they may need a break between arcs to recover.

I always enjoy the X-POSITION articles. Majorie Liu has made X-23 a book I look forward to every week without resorting to universe shattering explosions every few issues. I love the feel she has for X-23, Gambit, Jubilee, and pretty much every character she involves. She doesn't try to do too much. She does the little things right and that's what really makes the difference in her work.

Plus, my questions got asked! I never thought about how killing those test subjects in Collision would affect her. She would certainly feel much more guilt about that than Daken because she's been in that position before. She couldn't save these people. It's still pretty extreme in a ways for a comic to be addressing something like self-mutilation. But I think Marjorie Liu has handled it with the right amount of taste and tact.

While there will always be a place for the big stories in the other X-books, it's nice to have a smaller character based story like X-23. It's a great balance every month with the other X-books. For that, I deem it awesome.

I just got back into comics and I've bought and read many different comics already.

At this point X23 is hands down my favorite. I think the story behind her genesis is fascinating and her character is rich with depth.

Without a doubt she's one of the most interesting superheros that has come about in a long time. I'm surprised she's not a bigger sensation than she is, or perhaps she's bigger than I realize.

I've got to add that Liu's been pretty good with the whole PR deal. I've seen more interviews with her than with most other authors, and she's pretty active on twitter as well (and she actually seems to respond to people from time to time too rather than just soapboxing).

It's a bit of a pity we don't see more official reviews for X-23 on CBR though (the last one was IIRC X-23 #4 back in Janurary).

And issue 17 sounds interesting. Not only do we get to see Hellion again (so Laura can dump him for Jubilee? ) but it was mentioned in an earlier interview that Wolverine would be back as well. More awkward father daughter bonding!

I'd by that in an instant!

This was a great X-Position with well thought out questions and answers. I'm a huge fan of Liu and the X-23 work she's doing is sublime. Can't wait to see what's next for Laura these days.
