Default CBR: Ron Marz Works "Voodoo"

Ron Marz spoke with CBR News about "Voodoo," one of DC Comics' 52 new series launching in September, which brings a former Wildstorm heroine firmly into the DCU and reinvents the WildC.A.T. for readers new and old.

I saw the article. I am surprised that she or Zealot (Zealot is blonde now) were part of the WildC.A.T. team and I can see they are tying to reinvite the WildC.A.T.S team to younger reader, but how far do you think it will go?

I believe it will succeed, but in a long run, what will become of this series and how will in intergrade with DC (or will be be nuDC's answer to the X-Men's popularity?)
Have you ever thought that maybe your generation (not you per say but many of those in your age group) are not special but just a bunch of spoiled brats.

    Thanks Lexrules.

Well I love Basari's art. Not overly familiar with Wildcats I remember the cartoon and everything but not the characters as much. So unless I hear good things I may not pick this up

Forget what you've seen before. This is Marz and Basri with a whole new take on Voodoo. Please take my word for it... It will be a fantastic book.

I was not a huge fan of Voodoo back in the Wildcats day, but Marz' involvement means I have to give this a shot.

I believe you! (although I was already expecting it to be good, anyway)
Comics were happier before the Internet turned writing superhero stories into fruitless attempts to impress/entertain a small group of ppl who appear to hate comics and their creators.

I can understand not wanting to give spoilers......but, I opened the article hoping to get a FAINT idea what this series was about since I never read any of the old Wildstorm stuff.

And I still have no idea.

I don't give a [bleep] about spoilers, I just want you to tell me why I should buy it. Saying, "It's really good, I sweeeeeeear." doesn't cut it when there's 51 other #1's coming out that month.

What is this about Zealot being blonde and a Wildcats team?

As for the WildC.A.T.S team, I always saw them as an answer to the X-Men of Marvel.

Now granted, I was or saw the WildC.A.T.S. team and I thought that in my head because of the gimmicks they have did.

Grifter reminded me of Deadpool combined with Gambit
Zealot reminded me of a platinum blonde Psylocke (with a sword)
Sparta reminded me of Banshee, Cyclops, Havok, and Cannonball rolled into one.
Then Warblade was a mix of Wolverine, Beast, Iceman, etc.

And no, not by the look. Like maybe 20% of looks and 80% of personality.

I always thought that when I saw this team in the Image Comics Wildstorm side.

I literally don't know ANYTHING about Voodoo, but if I hear good things, I might give it a shot when it drops in price.

Well Ron Marz + Basari's art = I'm in. I loved the art on Powergirl and I generally love anything Marz does, so this is almost a nobrainer for me. I like that it's new take on the char cause I never really knew much about her or cared. This is WIN WIN
