Sometimes connections like the one you mentioned can be easily drawn, but sometimes there does not appear to be any rhyme or reason to it. There was a sale on Guardians of the Galaxy shortly after plans for the film were announced, then sales on other related story lines like Annihilation, Nova, Annihilation: Conquest, and the Thanos Imperative in the following weeks. I think they do, and should, certainly try to tap into connections that could potentially capitalize on an existing spike in fan interest. This isn't Marvel related, but I had wanted to pick up some Green Arrow comics over the summer and decided to wait for the premier of Arrow in the hopes there would be a sale. I'm glad I did because I bought 40+ issues.

Yeah, like why was the old Liefield X-Force series on sale last Friday? What a crappy sale that was. And why was Runaways on sale this week? That series is good but I own the hardcover that collects all 18 issues that were on sale.

The Liefeld X-Force books almost certainly were put on sale as Marvel NOW series Cable & X-Force is also out tomorrow...

I read about 100 digital comics within the first month of getting the Samsung Galaxy for Christmas. Felt so good to do that for $5.00.

Yeah, like why was the old Liefield X-Force series on sale last Friday? What a crappy sale that was.

For suckers like me! I did buy the first 3 issues, mainly due to nostalgia (the hard copies are long, long gone. Except for #1, as I still have about 5 bagged copies, but who doesn't?).

The art is so bad it's entertaining in its own way really.

Really? It hurts my neck, as I turn my head in various angles to see how the human anatomy can possibly work like that.

I must never get the right angle though, because I can't ever figure it out.

Did anybody NOT receive a Free Digital code with their purchase of Avengers Arena?

My physical copy pull list is only down to a few titles now, but I always redeem the codes for the digital versions.

No digital code for AA. There was one for CaXF however. Strange. I thought all Marvel Now books has digital codes with them?

Avengers Arena is a 2.99 book. So , no code.
