RED NECK Superman?? ROFLMAO!!
The Best creative team of the relaunch so far, this may be the most exciting title to be announced. I am verrrry excited to see what Grant does with Supes, especially since his title seems to revolve around the origin of Superman/early adventures, and Grant loves history of both characters and the DCU in general. You are in good hands superman....

With this Supes looking different than Perez's, as well as the JLA cover one by Lee, (not to mention the two different Superboys) does anyone think that the books might end up being about more than one Universe?
The new Superman line sounds promising. Action has an awesome creative team, it's a sure get for me. The only thing I don't like is the mention of Superman as the first hero. It's basically the confirmation that the Justice Society never existed in the new DCU.
Superman also sounds cool, but I don't see myself getting two titles featuring Clark Kent.
Superboy and Supergirl also have nice creative teams. Supergirl's premise is very interesting.
Top 3: Batman, Wonder Woman, X-force
Grant Morrison had an idea to tribute the Golden Age Superman, looks like we're getting that with Action Comics #1!

I think they are more referring to the fact that Superman was the first superhero created, rather than first canon superhero, because Superman has been called the "the first Superhero" before, even when the JSA did exist.
Also I wonder if Morrison will be writing Superman similar to his early Golden Age appearances, as the "angry socialist hero of the people"?

That's a pretty lame image for a teaser.
Sign me up for Action Comics. Sign me up NOW!
Valiant comics: All (!)
Marvel: Avengers/NA/U.Avengers, Aaron's Thor, Ult Spider-Man
DC: Batman Inc, Azzarello's Wonder Woman
Other: Cobra Files, Hellboy, Fables, Hellblazer TPBs
That image is amazing. Do I think that's what Superman will actually look like? No. But it conveys the tone and sensibilities of the comic I think quite well.
If only all of the other announcements could have been this awesome![]()
I'm genuinely fascinated by this take on Superman.
People don't trust Superman? I really disliked this part of Grounded storyline (when I was still reading it) and hoped we will move past it.
Then again - in Grant we trust!
YYee-eeessss!!!!!!! Well, the relaunch has me buying at least one title for at least several issues. This is nice. Many others will likely end up 1 to 3 issues, then get dropped, but this one will be great, no doubt.
Color me excited.
Morales' art for the promo looks almost Mark Scultz-y - and that's a good thing.
