Good god. He's saying ALL the right things here.

And why HASN'T anyone done a take on the Morrison Frankenstein before?

Exactly right, amigo! Thank goodness Frankenstein is getting an ongoing - Seven Soldiers was incredible, and for me Frankie was the strongest of the bunch. He's in GREAT hands with JL. Can we hope that someone will finally revisit The Manhattan Guardian, instead of Robinson always digging up some clone of Jim Harper?

And Animal Man too - my god, this has me buying monthlies again - although I hope the Animal Man series isn't TOO dark. It was best when he was a suburban guy having oddball adventures - the Veitch and beyond stuff in the old series got way too dark for my liking.

I was just going to say the same thing. It's just an interview so far, but it sounds like Jeff has Animal Man down cold.

I agree 100%. There are a lot of titles coming from this initiative that I'm going to check out but these two are at the top of my list, ESPECIALLY after reading the interview. Can. Not. Wait.

    Amen to that.

And every issue better having him riding some weird animal-creature-thing ... 'cos that was one of the coolest parts of the 7S storyline.

I thought Jeff Lemire’s Superboy was really good so I am strongly considering these two titles.

First, yes. Lemire seems definitively to have the right approach, and I'm thrilled at how he will dwelve with supernatural and ecological. This is an audacious step both for Lemire and DC. And I'm glad to see Travel Foreman on board as well (and Dan Green too, IMO that will blast)

Second, have I to remind a wonderful Scott Kolins' take on of FRANKENSTEIN (already connected with S.H.A.D.E actually) in his wonderful SOLOMON GRUNDY mini..? I really hope to see Kolins jumping onto this title for a couple of story-arcs, he'll be perfect for a rotation with the main artist, and the title wouldn't loose an inch..

I can get on board with Animal Man.

I might give Frankenstein a try, but we'll see. I trust Lemire as a writer, but I don't know if that particular book is up my alley.

If the rest of the Frankenstein mini is as good as the first issue, I'll definitely be picking up the ongoing.

One of my favorite characters, and one of the few series I'm genuinely excited about. Can't wait for it.

I think I'm most excited for this out of anything in the relaunch.

Really looking forward to Animal Man.

Oh, and big thank you for the journalists here at CBR for being professional and not resorting to cutesy, childish "DCnU" phrases.
