As a Spider-Man and Scott Pilgrim fan, I’ve gotta say that I’m completely in love with Ultimate Spider-Man.

Of course that’s a kids show and some people are turning their noses because it isn’t Spectacular Spider-Man, but damn, I sincerily think this has the potential to become the best Spidey cartoon show ever. I actually thought that the break the 4th wall thing was fuckin' hillarious and I can't wait until next Sunday.

Long Live Ultimate Spider-Man, long live Ultimate Peter Parker!!!

I have brown hair and blue eyes, i have something in commen with Spidey!

Haven't seen the episode yet. Going to watch them soon.
Hope it's as good as you guys say it is.

Ugh... I can't watch this. It only makes me bitter that they cancelled Spectacular for this glorified toy/merchandise commercial...

I gave it a chance and did not like it as I predicted.

    Top Negatives

It was corny and a major diss to the character.
    Osborn cared about his son.
    NO STRIPED OSBORN HAIR!
    NO GWEN!
    Doc Ock's appearance.
    MJ as a journalist.
Peter has no connection to the Daily Bugle.
Aunt May is WAY too young and constantly engaging in activities.
    Spider-cycle (AKA the future toy)
Peter knows his parents were spies?
And lastly WTF did Conners have a right hand?
Nightcrawler, Jean Grey, Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker, Professor X, Mar-Vell, Richard Rider- Bring Them Back!!!

I love it! A little cheesy, but I am okay with that.

There's a bit of Spider-Man in all of us.

I liked it. Much better then I expected. Not very reminiscent of the Ultimate Universe except for Nick Fury which I like. Considering that no one is going to die in this show it was kind of funny to see a picture of Uncle Ben getting shot because of all the 4th wall breaking it made that scene hilarious. Let's hope there are only a few elements of Ultimate Spiderman but not all.

These were actually how it happened in the Ultimate Spider-Man comic book. What else did you expect?

    What i liked:
    + The animation and characters
+ the Voice acting from everyone! Yes everyone! :)
+ Norman's motivations are very Ultimate, i mean, why should he be a petty crime lord of New York city in a world full of superheroes, when he can become more powerful and dangerous thru legal ways and become untouchable by the heroes without them crossing some "Big Brother" border.
    + Aunt May
+ The humor, dear lord was it campy. <3
    + The music

    What i disliked:
    - The blatant commercialism of the Spider-Bike & his improved weapon gadget, both received way too much introduction and focus to ensure Disney would have animated and voiced clips in prepared for the toys. Really disappointing to see Paul Dini himself getting involved in this, for shame brother! I mean we got episode 4 with Iron Spider going on, c'mon now obvious toy additions. <__> This is like having Wally West ride a motorcycle.

    Mixed Feelings:
I loved Drake Bell's narration and introducing villains, heroes and characters to the audience, but at the same time some of the things we're too much "tell, not show" and thats abit bleh.

They cancelled it because Marvel got the animation rights back. They couldn't have continued it even if they wanted to.

You must have never read anything with Spider-Man in it.

    Fathers tend to do that.

Just like in Ultimate Spider-Man. I also might add that the restaurant I work at's owner is 82 and still is heavily involved in working there.

No sillier than the Spider-Mobile, plus they can sell it as a toy. It's no less commercial than any other kids show.

I actually had to watch both episodes again to find this and discovered that...it was never mentioned.

So he can lose it and create character development would be my guess.

These are all incredibly nitpicky and easily explainable which makes me believe that you have no reason to not like the show and are looking for anything you can.

Finally, something I agree with wyokid on. This show is awesome, even though I'm not a fan of team stuff. Except for Young Justice and X-men... and Fantastic Four and Avengers and Justice League and Teen Titans, but anything else... Blegh! Oh also Red hood and the outlaws.

Disney and Marvel could have comissioned more episodes to Sony. Of course, they would lose money from that, so why not just make their own show instead.

Honestly, I liked the show a lot. And, yes, I'm a teenager, not a little kid. I'll start off, of course, with things I do like.

    Liked...
How Aunt May was EXACTLY like her Ultimate counterpart
Loved how MJ wants to be a journalist
Loved how Harry and Norman don't have stripped hair
Loved how Ultimate Universe it was
Loved the new idea with SHIELD teaming Spider-Man, a lone dog, with a team
Loved how they were setting up future villains and Norman Osborn as a main baddy right off the bat

    Dislikes...
While the cartoon is a cartoon and I can understand it being silly, I did not really enjoy that Spider-Man would cut to animations that are pretty lame. I'm fine with the fourth wall breaking and the telling us about villains and stuff, but the bells replacing Spidey's head I found a bit much. Other than that, I did enjoy Drake Bell's voice as Spidey but I really did like Josh Keaton's better. Wish they hired him, but still, you win some you lose some. Other than THAT, there is nothing wrong with this show and it is AMAZING!

This is true. I just figured nobody would think that a company would want to lose money just to continue a show when they could make a better one by their self.
