I'm not sure I'll like the reboot either, just seems like it'll be bad, but I liked that first person web-slinging thing. Never seen it in first-person before. Not sure I'll like it if they use it too much (more than once, MAYBE twice in the movie), but it was cool to see.

And, about the cartoon, what do we have so far? Trailers, pictures, interviews, release month? Is there a place I can go to see all this stuff (any of it available) in one place? I'm really excited for it, but all I've seen is a bad quality cam trailer from comicon (I think). It's like a cartoon version of what would have happened if Peter didn't die (in the working for Nick and other heroes kinda way),
If I could take a bullet for my grandson, I would. Just not in the face; that's how I make my livings.

First person web swinging was done 10,000 times better in Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions.

And once again, he hung his head in shame. Shamed by the fact that he still hasn't been able to scrape up enough money and time to buy the Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions Video Game, Zidiane let a single tear fall before once again shrouding himself in the heavy cloak of silence, falling back into the ranks of "Lurker". It wasn't for many a moon until he once again could run and leap and play with the other Spider-Man fans.

It's not available to buy yet - it'll air on Disney XD early next year.

It will just have the Ultimate name, but will not follow the Ultimate Spider-Man comic. It's going to be more of an Ultimate Team-Up show.

I'm glad this got bumped or I'd never have known!

Well I loved the Avengers and I'm not even much of a Marvel fan, so I'll be looking forward to this.

That being said, the old 90's cartoon from my childhood is hell of a lot better than I remember it being as a kid. (How that works I don't know). So it'll have a lot to live up too.

According to Wiki there have been a LOT of other Spider-Man animated shows, any of the others worth watching?

You really should watch the Spectacular Spider-Man it's the best one. It has two season, has very good animation and it's very fun to watch.

I concur. It also uses Ultimate Spider-Man as one of it's sources.

The first season's streaming on Netflix, but season 2 is only available on discs. I think it's the single best superhero show out there, and is what actually got me interested in the comics again.

It really does suck that it ended after 2 seasons. Apparently the creative teams had plans for up to 5. I hope this Ultimate Spider-man show is good, but I kind of liked how Spectacular didn't have any team ups and could just focus on Peter and his little world.

I actually can only find the volumes on disc (I'm in the UK see) and not even all the volumes to make up the series. I even looked up illegal means and couldn't find the entire series that way either. For something so popular, it sure is hard to find.
