This is what happens when you allow the comic guys to dictate continuity on a television show. Cartoons rarely have any glaring continuity problems, but this will open up a whole big bag of worms

"No weapon formed against them could prosper."
Well first of all that's crap. Wolverine and the X-men, Hulk vs., and Avengers EMH are all relatively serious cartoons with subtle humor. Ultimate Spidey is the exact opposite.
Second, your theory of Ultimate Spidey taking place in the past can't be true because in Avengers they find Captain America but in Ultimate Spidey he's already around.

Good god, what did they do to Flash and Venom?!

It makes me sad reading alot of the comments in this thread. So many negative things said about a show just starting. Why can't we just accept different takes on characters instead of senseless "NO! IT"S NOT LIKE THE COMIC/Character origin/story is different, I HATE IT!!" :(
"You're Iron Man and he just took it? Little brother walked in, kicked your arse and took your suit? Is that possible?" - Nick Fury
I actually think this looks pretty promising. Venom did bond with Flash in the comics and in most of the cartoons, Venom has only really bonded with Peter or Eddie Brock. I think this could be a nice change of pace. It still depends on how well the colorful humor is balanced with the more serious aspects of the series. But I am willing to give this series plenty of chances because despite my criticisms, I still think it has potential.
As for the shared universe, I follow Chris Yost who is the head writer for Avengers EMH on Twitter. His response was similar to Loeb's. He says anything is possible and I would be shocked if Marvel didn't attempt some sort of cross-promotion with their shows, especially since they're on the same channel in the same programming block.

Heavy doubts on that. While cartoons and comics based on them are supposed to be same canon, they usually end up being their own thing. Pretty much like how the USM video game was supposed to be canon with the comic but wasn't (although they did a similar version of the story later).
And? Bets are he won't stay that way. :DFor starters, he went rogue toward the end of Avengers season 1 and is still MIA.
We don't know that, it's not like they provided dates like Young Justice. Avengers season 1 could have taken place over the course of a year or two if they wanted.
Nice! Doubting it, though. I have yet to see a comic running same time as a cartoon where the events are supposed to be canon in both (we see a scene or reference from the comic in the cartoon, for example). Closest I've seen is the Batman animated where they did a version of Mad Love and that was a straight adaptation of the entire story. I can see the comic referencing the 'toon, but not vice versa.Well too bad Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost disagree with you. They're the story editors.
Nope, looks like he's agreeing with me there! I already mentioned there was a Nova Corps. Besides, where is it stated anywhere there that Rich Rider existed in either EMH or USM? He's talking about the comics. :D
Umm...que? What fan fiction? I'm just saying how easy it would be to make the two series fit together. They're overseen by the same animation studio and are both part of Marvel's new animation block. When you have comics like Deadpool Corps occurring in the same universe as the current Punisher then yup, I see no problem with two shows with different styles and methods of storytelling happening in the same continuity. :DIf you actually believe this, you really are lying to yourself to convince your fan fiction theories.
Could be a couple years, though. :DMonths.
Again, you completely ignore what the actual makers of both seasons have said and refuse to accept reality. You can lie to yourself all you want, just keep that bullshit to yourself.
Sure, the Odin Sleep + the Comatose lasted years, Maria Hill wanting the Avengers to register took years, the Heroes starting as heroes didn't take a few months with their Asgard adventures but entire years, yes everyone was a slow poke, clearly. Watch the actual show.We don't know that, it's not like they provided dates like Young Justice. Avengers season 1 could have taken place over the course of a year or two if they wanted.
