Why have the last 10 pages been about Wally West in a Stephanie Brown thread. Mostly I miss Bryan Q. Millar's run, I havent read any other Steph books bit his work is reminiscent of Joss Whedons early seasons of Buffy (When its actually good). When they do bring her back if they have a plan for her I really hope Brian will be able to write it!
So is this the week that Steph WON’T be premiering in Smallville? I can hardly contain my lack of excitement!
Are we still planning on buying the first issue of Steph’s solo series from Comixology on Friday?
Misery loves company!
(Also we’re using the fact that the iconic Flash is MIA as proof that the justification for replacing Stephanie with Barbara is nonsense)
New and improved me. Now with a CAPITAL “B”.
Well, a non-event in the case of Steph, but it's still one of the few great titles that DC actually releases.
To quote Yahtzee over at Zero Punctuation
And that sadly is where I am at with Smallville. Sure, it's a great comic, well written, but DC went and stuck their dick into it and that's all I can think of when I read it."It just goes to show: never stick your dick in a pudding. It might still be good pudding, and you can spend all afternoon explaining that, but no one’s gonna eat it because you stuck your dick in it!"
"Man invented language to satisfy his deep need to complain" Steven Pinker
I watched Smallville when it was on, and just got too tired of the show to read the comic. Steph would have pulled me in, but now forget it.
Anyone think that Harper Row is the post-Flashpoint re-intro of Stephanie Brown? I know very little about the character, but based on a quick wiki scan it seems like she could be the same person.
The name is obviously different, but Harper is hiding from someone(sounds like her father) so it would not be too far fetched to think that Harper is a fake name.
Edit: Should have read the last page, the idea still stands though, Harper is hiding, so it is very plausible that the name is fake.
Why on earth would it be too good to be true? It sounds like a complete slap in the face to Steph fans. That would be a complete nerfing of her entire history.
His thought I think is that because Harper is a fake name, it might be a case of Snyder slipping Steph past the radar and maybe having it where 'Harper" was once a blonde girl, who's dad was a theif, etc. and happened to be named Steph Brown.
Although the likely hood of this is very very small. My one fear is that they will make Haper the new Spoiler/Oracle and then have her become Tim's new Love interest. At which point I will cry, because you know what DC even if Harper is a nice character, she is, it's not fair to build up a "couple" for that long of a period then rip one of them out of the series.
Harper is a lesbian, I think. She and her brother call each other 'homo', so it seems pretty direct like that.
Edit: Lol, oops at the above. I really should sleep more these days; that wasn't Harper with her brother at all in that scene.
Edit edit: Wait, yes it was.
Harper seems like a good character but there isn't anything about her which suggests a connection to Stephanie, or even Cass whom Snyder apparently couldn't use. Cass fans should probably be pleased (or less unhappy than usual) because if Cass became a sarcastic technological genius she would be the old character in name only and I doubt that's what the wider fanbase is asking for.

That's stretching it to breaking point. Snyder isn't Morrison, Didio won't let him 'slip' anything under the radar.

More par for the course, really though.
Never would of thought the Bat books would sink to this level of mediocrity. It was only 1.5 years ago that everything was near perfect in the Batverse.
Jean Grey : What makes you such a bitch, Emma?
Emma Frost : Breeding, darling. Top class breeding.
This character definitely won't be Tim's love interest, since Tim is sadly not really a bat character anymore. Admittedly though I would love to see a small scene of Cullen hitting on Tim. Tim's awkwardness would be hilarious.
Yeah, I wasn't totally onboard with Fabian's writing of Tim, but as far as structure and what each character was doing yeah I'd say it was perfect.More par for the course, really though.
