Issue 16?
The issue where Steph runs from the police after being framed for murder.
I love Stephanie / Spoiler / BatStephGirl.
Therefore, I want to round out my collection of her. I have her 2 most recent trades (Batgirl Rising and The Flood) and I know I have a lot of the Batman and etc that she has been in.
But I'm wondering if someone can give a list of trades (any title) in which she features prominently? I own a lot of them, but not all surely. And I'd like to get as much Stephanie as I can get my hands on (via Amazon).
Thanks!
Actually I'm calling it right now, the Reaper's contributor is going to be Black Mask and Steph is going to overcome him and put all her past demons behind her. She's going to go out on top and the only reason it sounds like a downer ending to to create "drama" and ramp up sales. Though since it's the final issue I don't know how many people would buy it from just reading the solicit.
I was going to first go with her dad, the whole reason she got into the crime fighting business, but he's dead/not in a position to fund the Reapers.
Haven't they talked about Black Mask in other places? And really I would find it a great ending to have Steph defeat the villian that nearly killed her and made her disappear for a year. Someone who would threaten the stability of her current life (DC execs withstanding) by dragging up her biggest failure.
Well the Roman Sionis version of Black Mask, Stephanie Brown's Black Mask, was risen during Blackest Night. Poison Ivy trapped him in a plant that ate and digested him as fast as he could regenerate. I don't know how Blackest Night ended. I don't know if all those risen black ring bearers died again or not. If they didn't then I suppose it wouldn't too much of a stretch to write that he escaped from his personal eternal Sarlacc prison. But I agree it just doesn't match up with the tone of anything we've read so far in her book.
I actually completely disagree; while the team-ups are fun (especially with Damian), if they were all I had read of the series I probably wouldn't have read more. I think the "real" storylines (for lack of a better word) show a lot more of the mixture between darkness and light-heartedness that is really the core of the character and the book as a whole, and what makes it so great for me.
I would read team Batgirl, all the way. If they had Simone and Miller co-write it, and have Babs, Steph and Cass in one book, that would awesome. The book would be at the very top of my "to read" list every single month. One of the reasons why I think comics have been having sales trouble recently, besides the economy, is that people don't do obvious ideas like this one.
