The Stephanie Brown 'Batgirl' Appreciation Thread

I think its pretty obvious that if we have any chance of Step coming back, it'll be as Spoiler, and not Batgirl or Robin.

Myself, I'd bring her back with full memories of the pre-flashpoint timeline ( Blame the residue from Klarion's magic from Batgirl 18??). Stuck in the new timeline where no-one remembers her, she's on her own living on the street with no allies. After getting the brush off from a now-younger Barbara, she re-makes her Spoiler costume, breaks into the bat cave to "borrow" supplies, and goes out into the night to prove that she can do it all on her own (and lift some cash out of the wallets of the thugs she beats up so she can afford food....). Long term she struggles to figure out what happened to the timeline, why she wasn't affected, and how she can either get back to her own ( sorry waffles, you're kinda stuck) or forge her own future in the brand new world.

I had a similar idea, possibly involving other missing characters such as Proxy and Misfit. It could also be interesting if she was physically de-aged to around 15 or 16, but somehow retained her skills and her memories of the former universe, thereby making it even harder to prove she was telling the truth. On another note, the fact that Damian Wayne's empty boots seem to featuring strongly following his death and the fact that Stephanie's first appearance as Batgirl involved a teaser about who was pulling on Batgirl's boots could just possible be what they consider to be a subtle clue as to the identity of the next Robin. it would be intriguing to see Batman's reaction to encountering someone who was clearly trained by him, but who he could not remember knowing.

It would be a switch for Stephanie to know the true identity of Batman and others and they not to know hers, and while it would be frustrating trying to convince people all over again that she belonged in that world, I think that she would apreciate the irony of the situation.

Also is it too much to hope for a steampunk Batgirl appearance in the new Infinite Crisis online game, since we have Gaslight Batman, Catwoman and Joker?
