So they actually did it. Wow, not sure I like this decision. Very, very disappointed Marvel.

This is about as clear a statement as we can get about Bucky's fate then. Even if it's not the original Red Skull who killed him, but Skadi/Sin is literally a red skull so it's following the letter of Fraction's statement if not the spirit.

I wonder if Hickman had not chosen to write Fantastic Four the way he did, would Ben still have been one of the Worthy? Or was Fraction inspired by the emotional fallout to pitch for his inclusion?

And a potential retcon of Mjolnir's creation?

Again, Zemo killed Bucky the first time, not the Red Skull.

Yeah, I hope he remembers that in the next interview.

SOB they really did kill Bucky off,man am I pissed sense he's my favorite Marvel character along side Steve Rogers and Wolverine.I agree that Zemo or actually Steve Rogers should have been the one to kill off Bucky.Just wise that Bucky would have been killed off in his own title or if they had such a hard on to kill him off in Fear Its Self he would have been used in issue 1 and 2 and would have been built up as a main character in the series instead of just showing up in issue 3 and getting wacked.

Not happy with the death of Bucky. He was a great "new" character and the reason I was following Captain America.

If he's to be killed, he should have more time to be Captain America to the fullest.

I would have been more okay with it if he had have had a great moment as part of the Avengers - like playing a key role in a successful plan or saving the life of another hero.

Something to be remembered by, as an Avenger. Unfortunately, he's been shortchanged and it will all go back to Steve.

I really wanted to see the long form Bucky Barnes story.

My money is still on Thor being the last of the Worthy. I think Mjolnir is end up being the 9th hammer.

I'd expect this from Fraction....but not Brubaker. I honestly could care less who got the assignment to write his death...but the conceptualization of it just baffles me on every level. Brubaker has really disappointed me with this one.

Honestly, why do i need to bother picking up the reconfigured Cap and Bucky title? What's the point? Throwing character potential in my face on a weekly basis. No thanks. I like when the flashbacks were interwoven with forward moving stories. I don't need to take another nostalgic journey that comics have been taking for 60 years.

Oh and Marvel, for once can you think about killing off the hundreds of stupid derivative characters you have and keep the interesting ones.

he wasn't talking about bucky getting killed the first time. he was referring to FI#3. the red skull killed bucky. oh yea, the red skull killed Captain America..they are the same person.

    i mean were.
    edit=
ok i see the 5th paragraph does have "the Red Skull should be the one to ultimately kill Bucky again"
that one could go either way. he could have simply meant, bucky getting killed again.

or there was a good reason that "people would look at me like I was dumb.”

Fraction's comment that Odin got Mjolnir from somewhere and this from Bob-El's coverage of the panel:

Loki has a major role to play in the resolution of Fear Itself and that is playing out in Journey Into Mystery.
I'm guessing Odin possibly stole Mjolnir from a family member (or at least the idea of a weapon only usable by a select few) and sealed them away. Also, the Marvel previews book has all the Worthy's heads over a character in the background. Said character also has the "Worthy" lines and is ripping what appears to be the Earth apart.

Agreed. He never got his shining moment as an Avenger.

I am still pretty pissed about this hole thing. The could at the very least killed off Bucky better.Hell even something really simple like saving a little kid or jumping in front of a bullet/energy blast that was going to take out another hero or citizen would have work for me.Could have been a nice play on how Steve Rogers died taking a bullet for the guard in Captain America #25.

I not as pissed that Bucky died sense in the comicbook world people always comeback I just would have like a better end and more focus on him leading up to his death.
