    With the first issue in stores now from Image Comics, artist Lee Moder spoke with CBR News about the creative process behind "Shinku," a modern Japanese vampire epic written by Ron Marz.

    I've recently become a fan of Moder's art since I read Batman/Catwoman: The Last Angel graphic novel.

    Anyways, the character design for Shinku looks cool, and although I'm very tired of vampires, hopefully this story is pretty original.

    after just 1 issue, I'm a huge fan of this book. Just an FYI to anyone who cares!
    Comics were happier before the Internet turned writing superhero stories into fruitless attempts to impress/entertain a small group of ppl who appear to hate comics and their creators.

    Same here. I've seen Moder's art here and there over the years and liked his style, but never really followed anything he worked on regularly. I might give this a shot when it's collected (my vampire fatigue notwithstanding).
