This is all looking a bt unorganised. Like the 12 Days of Vengeance article over at Marvel that stopped at day 5.

What was wrong with the Defalco era. That's when some of my favourtie books were published.

Still not sure what this is about. I'll be picking this up in trade due to the $3.99 price point. So far I'm only picking it up because its spotlighting underused characters and creating new ones.

...and what's wrong with the Shooter' era nostalgia. There are reasons for that, you know..maybe "Vengeance" will just be "another book" and nothing more, after all..

(but if it tells the next chapter of the Last Defenders, then you got me hooked.. BTW Tim, is there a chance to read a Last Defenders-focused Joe' interview ?)

This sounds like a really interesting theme, that will utterly fail in execution. Just like LAST DEFENDERS which seemed like it didn't know where it was going from issue to issue.

I admire that he continues to get work for hire when he seems to write from the seat of his pants on every project. Does he have some laurels from past creator owned stuff that he is coasting on?

When did everyone start pissing over the Byrne Doom?
No f'n way a rave happens in Latveria with the Byrne Doom. I miss those days. Doom is a sad caricature of what he once was (which was the most kick ass villain of all).

I am a huge fan of Casey's work. His Wildcats run was the best of that series. The Intimates was an amazing series that no one read (unfortuntately). And he has had several other great works.
I want to pick up this series, but I'm not going to be able to if we have another sad caricature of Doom.

the most funny thing is really while others Marvel' authors are insisting on how their artistic process is organic, complex and conceptualized (except nobody is Alan Moore), Casey don't give a shit : "aah..you know what it is, they already had the covers launched..."

    that is awesome..

    Default It should not sell!

It this story was assembled into a graphic novel.... I'd be on amazon today and have it just after it's release date. I now have to wait the eight months for the individual issued to come out which I will not buy. Then hope I remember to purchase the story when it's collected. Casey has written wonderful comics.. so I'm sold, but marvel will not produce the product for another year.
