i bought spiderman the newspaper strips recently from amazon. i thought it was pretty good, love romita sr. art. for that matter love bolth romita's on spiderman, in my humble opinion there best work can be seen on that title. as far as the writing and pacing go it is a little questionable, but did i mention the artwork, stellar. will be looking into the conan newspaper strip hardcover love the combination of buscema and chan on conan... pure gold if you ask me.

Not MUCH Spider-Man this time, but a Borders was closing up shop so I grabbed Spider-Man:Grim Hunt Hardcover and Marvels: Eye of the Camera.

Volume nine of the Masterworks series. Just a few weeks for the volume six in trade comes out and I'll have them all. I am a masterwork collecting fool-ha ha ha!

    Next the Fantastic Four.

My bookshelf will soon be the ultimate power in the universe.

--Grabbed Essential Web for ten dollars. Kind of hit or miss but not the disaster it is frequently described as. Still hate black and white repro of colored comics.

I kind of liked those books. They weren't great but there was a certain amount of excitement in them. Mackie gets so many hits as a writer.

Although it is really Chapter one that is suppose to be epicly bad---and that's getting reprinted too

I avoided the whole darned thing once it got started although I admit I did buy an issue with The Scarlet Spider. Then when Ben Reily got his new costume I was immediately turned off! I just thought the whole idea of Pete and Re-Pete was stupid and it reminded of DC's goofy Earth One\Earth Two silliness!

Having said this, I am intrigued by a trade paperback of the ORIGINAL Clone Saga which really wasn't that bad at all! Is it out now or still in the planning stages?

To answer the thread: I bought THE HOBGOBLIN LIVES (the new edition which added the "Goblin's Gate" stories) and SPIDER-MAN\MJ: YOU JUST HIT THE JACKPOT. Love 'em both!
