Great Page of Spidey and Shang Chi fighting!!
That looks illustrated by Max Fiurama.
And looking forward to the Spidey event itself and to see if Jackal role in the stories will have the "Gauntlet" treatment and became a more important and modern villain in the stories.
Pull List:Uncanny Avengers,Avengers,Superior Spider-Man,Daredevil,All New X-Men,Hawkeye,Captain America,Thor:God of Thunder,Swamp Thing,Morbius,Thunderbolts,Iron Man,Fatale.
Way cool.
Really happy to see Shag Chi apearing in this event.
And will be interesting to see if the Kung Fu that Spidey will learn will reflect in further stories.
This is one of the aspects of this event that looks good, and is not usual to see Spidey improving his powers due training as well.

I wonder if Spidey may get his spider-sense back by the end of this event....

The Comic Age
Awesome splash page. Is that Shang-Chi with his spider powers or with out, because he could already walk on walls and ceilings in Wisdom with his chi?
Sorry if this has been asked before, but as far as the continuity timeline goes, will Spider Island be happening after Fear Itself? I'm a few weeks behind on my books, but it seems like Spidey already has enough on his plate with his first Fear Itself tie-in issue. :)
I've been wondering that myself. I believe it would be a great way to bring it back. The only reason I think maybe not is something Wacker said on one of these boards. I can't remember the post exactly, but it led me to believe that during Slott's run Spidey wouldn't have his spider-sense any longer.
FYI - We last saw teh Jackyl in the DD / Punisher mini from a few years ago by David Lapham.
It's been a while, so I had to google it. Pretty much this is at a time when the Kingpin was gone and both the Jackal and Hammerhead were looking to move it. From what I can remember they didn't really tell you how he was alive, but did allude that it was Miles Warren. If I'm remembering it correctly he sneaks away in the end too, we just haven't seen him since.
If I'm wrong someone please correct me.
Thanks!
Ah! THAT'S MAX FIUMARA!
It's so nice to see him back.
I know Kevin Nichols through a guy that knows a gal. Small world!
If nihilism didn't take some delight in destruction one might suspect nihilists were an unnaturally morbid sort.

The splash page is cool, but this was kind of a pointless article.
The infested back stories is slowly getting me interest in Spider-Island.
Just hope they explain how The Jackal has come back from the dead
