I was thinking of it. I didn't read "Brightest Day" (tradewaiting, like I do for most of Geoff Johns' stuff) but the thought of John Constantine interacting with the wider DCU has me excited.
What about you?

"Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder's eye on the Last Day."
Sure, the preview looked good (but I don't think the pages were the exact first pages though). Who is Constantine's chubby friend?
It is interesting/ironic that Constantine can immediately tell that the new Swamp Thing is not the same one as the one that he was friends with.
Also did Constantine make any appearances in any of the Vertigo Swamp Thing series (Volume 3 and Volume 4 series)? And if so, do you think that Constantine will make any reference to them?

Yes. I want to see Swamp Thing back-in-action in the the DCU.
Swamp Thing gets all the ladies
Prometheus didn't kill Tasmanian Devil...I did!
I really liked the preview. I haven't ever read anything with either Constantine or Swamp Thing, but I liked Constantine's characterization in the preview. The art really surprised me- not what I expected from this.
I was also surprised Tefe is still in continuity. I was expecting the cutoff for DC Swamp Thing being earlier than that.
Yes, in both. He showed up early in Tefe's series when she was wandering America looking for Arcane, and he was a major player in Diggle's first Swamp Thing arc. I doubt they'll get mentioned.
I'm actually kinda looking forward to this. Vankin knows the character, so I think this may end up being worthwhile.

What preview are you talking about?
Where can I see it?
My Xbox 360 Gamertag is jboncha
My top 5 comic artists (in no particular order):
Michael Turner RIP (Witchbade, Fathom, Superman/Batman, Soulfire)
Oh! Great (Silky Whip, Tenjho Tenge, Air Gear)
Jim Lee (X-Men, Batman, Superman, Divine Right, Wild CATs)
Tsutomu Nihei (BLAME!, Biomega, Wolverine: SNIKT!, Abara, Digimortal)
Gabrielle Dell'Otto (Secret War)
Hell yeah. I love John Constantine and I'm excited to see how he interacts with other DC heroes. I want to see him manipulate Batman and Superman. He's the ultimate con man.
"That's not just "one man"! That's TONY FREAKING STARK. You're intel should've warned us that he was James Bond and "Q" wrapped in the same guy!" Cobra
Pull List; seems to be too long to fit in my sig...
I thought the preview was horrible. The writer was overusing the British dialogue so badly. I know that Constantine is British but I've read enough Hellblazer and he doesn't use trademark British slang in literally every other line of dialogue.
Yes, I'm getting it as I've purchased every bother one before (favorite character). This relaunch sounds more interesting than the last 2 to boot.

Probably not. I enjoyed some of Vankin's DC work but the preview seemed to be a retread of Alan Moore's Swamp Thing by someone who is not in the same league as Alan Moore.
For-Real-True is only true now.
Story-True is true forever.

I think bringing Swamp Thing and John Constantine into the mainstream continuity is just DC trying to goad Alan Moore into making some more inflammatory comments about them.
Nope... Constantine and Swamp Thing don't seem to fit in the current DCU
DC: Batman Inc, Detective Comics, Green Lantern, Green Lantern Corps, Batman.
Marvel: Uncanny X-Force, Uncanny X-Men, X-Men, Ultimates, Iron Man, S.H.I.E.L.D., Secret Warriors
INDIES!
