A wonderful light went out in the universe.

She was Louise Simonson's first husband, too, I believe.

A terrible loss to the art world. I hope the film sees release sooner than later so more people can discover one of the greatest modern painters.

    Godspeed, Jeffery Catherine Jones.

Wow. I'm so sorry to hear this news. Jones was one of my favorite artists. I have a print of this hanging up in my room, and see it every day.

    That's a damn shame. He'll be missed.

    R.I.P.

Like many others, I first experienced Jeff Jones' wonderful art through that now-legendary book The Studio, which also featured Bernie Wrightson, Michael Kaluta and Barry Windsor Smith.

From what I heard, things got tough for Jones in recent years. Rest easy.

Comics were a stepping stone in her artistic journey. It's too bad she didn't do more.

I still love the few Wonder Woman covers she did.

I had no idea who this Catherine Jones was and then I wondered if they meant Jeff Jones? I had no idea he had changed sex.

    A phenomenal, visionary talent.
    This is a sad day.

I had no idea Jeff Jones was a woman... not that it matters. Amazing painter. Great loss.
