Nice Conner pics! Well, and the Timm pic, which I already had. along with a few others of his PG pics. Too bad he never really saw fit to include her in JLU or anything else in the DCAU, (other than the Public Enemies DVD, where she didn't have a good appearance, and the art unfortunately mirrored the book, leaving her looking less than great).

She'd be a great addition to an animated series IMO. I don't think she's even appeared in Young Justice at all, has she? Even though just about everyone else has by now.

This is a thread about Power Girl's boobs no matter what it started as. We're even talking about them now. Me stating that fact and you saying its not happening.

Yes, I completely overlooked the countless page threads dealing with Starfire's hair. I can't believe I completely forgot about the Occupy DC movement that sprung up when she lost the curls and started straightening her hair. You are right, people talk about Starfire's hair almost as much as they talk about Power Girl's boobs. Perhaps you didn't need to look up intellectual dishonesty since you are quite good at its practice.

To some! Geez, are you just trying ?! Why are you insisting this isn't happening when you can just look back over the thread. I specifically say "if you can't remove the boob window without people saying its damaging to her" at what point did that turn into a cheerleading for the new costume?

So, what does those resemble? A scarf? A tunic? Hmm, reminds me a bit of suspenders.

Or you could just ignore me when I hurt you feelings by talking about Power Girl's breasts are exploited far more than other comic characters at the cost of her other traits. Nice character but she's been drawn in the past really close to becoming a joke. Really, one artist decided he would draw them bigger and bigger just to see if anyone noticed doesn't exactly tell me he appreciates the complexity of the character.
I don't care if you're being intellectually dishonest or not. Also, am I supposed to be feel shame for engaging in conversation about Power Girl's rockin' figure? Because I totally don't.

I'm just thankful I don't live a life while being blind to things that are awesome.

She looks so strong and powerful here! The next time Darkseid and his Parademons invade earth, I want her on my side. She looks like someone who can get the job done.

Is that from the DCUO game?
I'm not sure what it was from, I just found it on tumblr.

So, they finally get to PG using her heat vision in the DCnU on the cover of Worlds' Finest #4. Nice cover though.

From that angle, I appreciate how the bottom of the P logo resembles the S shield. It needs a lot of tinkering though.

No one's asking you to feel shame. There's nothing wrong with liking a character for that reason. I said that is a factor for some (which is where someone took it upon themselves to state that was untrue). I just don't think the artist and writer should be engaged in the same. I didn't see Power Girl used as fully a character as they could because they seem to think a boob joke here or there and nice bust shots serve as character developement. For goodness sakes, they couldn't even bother with giving her a decent origin and build on it after Crisis. They just threw something out there and done. I hope World's Finest treats her better and for the moment it will have to without relying on the old crutch as in the past.

They should keep working on it. I don't see anything wrong with her making adjustments here and there as their adventures continue. Though honestly, the P logo is best part to me but the rest I don't hate, it just seems a bit dull.

I wonder if DC are listening to how much the fans dislike PG's new costume and are open to changing it. Its a shame, because I really like the way the other Earth-2 heroes have been updated . . it really is just PG who's been let down (badly).

Power Girl's had a life of her own for the past 30 or so years. In spite of the 1985 Crisis/numerous origin rewrites, she has become a popular and iconic character in her own right. But this costume is completely forgettable.

    Are you kidding?

We are talking about a character who was developed brilliantly in the Geoff Johns relaunched JSA. Then there was the second volume of JSA & lets not forget the JSA All Stars in which she was the group leader. All before going on to have her own series. not to mention the countless guest starring roles. During that time Power Girl develops quite a lot as a character, so i honestly don't know where you are getting this "didn't develop" concept from.

Edit: I think that would put her in exces of 80 issues all up & most of them with some level of development.

    Could not agree more.
I won't profess to be a PG expert but it is hard to take a poster seriously when they don't demonstrate that they've actually read most of the recent comics featuring PG.
I also feel this is yet another case of someone choosing to focus on PG's costume as a bigger issue than the exploitive way most superhero female comic book characters are drawn (my words, not theirs) and ignore the issue of PG's old costume as an expression of her personality (a critical part of depicting a superhero in comic book form).
I'd love to dive back in to this debate but I feel like I'm just repeating so many of my earlier posts.
I generally think we all are just going to have to agree to disagree. . .
I stand by my opinion that the current costume is so so much worse than the AC designed PG one.
Off to work now. . .

I am wondering however if the people who are praising this new costume really care for it all that much. Because it really sounds like a lot of the people praising this new costume don't actually like it all that much... In fact a lot of them seem to be trying to convince themsevles of that in different threads i've seen. Also a common theme with those people seems to be there belief that the previous costume was some how exploitational, sexist or just wrong. I mean, sure its always been trendy to rip on Power Girls costume, but this seems to have moved out of "sour grapes" department & into something bordering on obsession, with some people.

It's at least comforting that 9 outta 10 people think it sucks. If I was the lone sad panda that would even be more depressing. It just gets exhausting complaining about it after awhile. I visited this thread yesterday, saw the new solicit, made sadface and left.

It feels nice to talk trash with my real name using facebook on dccomics.com with other like-minded people, though. Even the lack of anonymity doesn't keep people from expressing how terrible that costume is.
