Yes, at least they finally said the dreaded name. Even if only as a tease.

But then there's that other bit:

Karen is a "little bit different". Not Karen Starr tech mogul? Is she really something like Karen Starr DEO agent? Is that really her on the cover to Voodoo #2? There's nothing that says she can't appear in more than one title, though I'll note that parts of the rest of the panel seem to rule out anything to do with either JLI or Justice League.

And there's the bit that there's a connection between Karen and Michael Holt that will be revealed later.

What that last is I have no idea.

My opinion: If they could have told us what we wanted to hear, they would have. They changed Power Girl again. To the point she doesn't even have her ****ing name anymore. There I go, having to censor myself. I'm not talking about this for a while.

Wally West will not be seen nor mentioned in FLASH for the time being, as the focus will now be on establishing Barry Allen and his unique abilities.

DC sort of teasing that he may not exist in DCNU much like Power Girl. They pretty much say they want to focus on boring barry and not confuse new fans. That sorta confuses me that they may think new fans wouldn't be able to look up on the internet but they would mean the whole relaunch would be pointless. I wonder if DC thinks new fans will be stupid or they couldn't say oh Wally was flash when barry was dead or something. Sorry just sort of topic dealing with the whole thing and example of DC getting rid of characters people like.

As pissed off as I am about there being no power girl or at least not a kryptonian one. I will still try and support the relaunch. I'm going to miss her but its just one more piece of crap being flung my way. We will still have the old series, we will always have conners artwork. We can remember her as long as we won't.

Sgt Rock
Voodoo

And lots of others who had absolutely no one screaming "I have to have them in their own title!" except the people at DC.

Who exactly do they put their books out for, themselves, or the fans?

Well it's pretty obvious that they're wiping off the slate in between Post-Crisis and Flashpoint. They plan on telling the DCU story from square 1 pretty much.

They have to retell some stories for the future road. Can we still not hope to see how this Karen Starr becomes Power Girl? I mean who's to say she doesn't become her in some epic splash page 6 months down the road?

Who knows, maybe they're building a relationship between Voodoo, Peej and Terrific? Anything can happen and I don't want to give up on our girl just yet, especially since they're being so coy.

I think your reasoning is sound.
I'm just going to wait for that *epic* splash page before I start spending my money again.

You forget Batwing and Grifter. I rather see a Wild Cats book. What he means by Sgt. Rock is that Call Of Duty/Battlefield rip off called Man Of War. By the way DC admitted on thursday that it was actually people DC that wanted batwing not fan response as they first claim. I really hope I am write that Batwing is one of the first canceled and has not even close to number of issue as Power Girl finishes at. Yeah, I just couldn't even really remember most of the titles. Batwing, who thought that was a great idea?

And seeing that it's Johns now who evidently is the guy people have to run their pitches for books by, yeah, I'd say there's little hope for anything like another PG title, as he famously doesn't like her, and from his writing of her, doesn't get her either. I'll give him credit for bowing to fan demand to include her in JSA, and even for restoring her first origin story, but even there, she was more whiny and ineffectual than anything resembling what she should be.

And I can imagine his dislike of the character and lack of understanding of her would influence him in okaying anything related to putting her forth in a major role in a way fans would recognize and like. Certainly I'd be very surprised if he okayed a PG title down the road.

Its funny because after JLU fans are much more familiar with Wally than Barry.
