Well, apparently it has just been confirmed that Batman Beyond will be continuing, so the multiverse apparently isn't getting completely erased this time and multiple versinos of the same character are allowed to exist in different continuities. I guess this raises the chances of an Earth-2 reboot...
Still no news on Power Girl? Frick! I see that Sam Basri has been assigned to another book...not a good sign.
Thus do I write the first chapter of my new scripture. And the first verse is "Let it all burn."
PHOENIX INVICTUS!
Looking at Supergirl's new look my first thought was that she does resemble Power Girl, from the cape, lack of a skirt and she does look older. Maybe they decided to just combine the two characters into one using traits from both characters?
I mean I do like Supergirl's new look but I don't know how I feel about them combining the two characters if that is what happened.
It would be awesome if PG got Action Comics.
That would be godsent
in a perfect Universe Karen Starr is ceo of Starrware and is fighting crime as Power Girl cousin of Superman, alongside Huntress (Helena Wayne), Richard Grayson (Robin) and the rest of the Infinity Inc. While the Justice Society was being led by Superman (Kal-L) who's married to Lois.
Stupid reboot. They better have Karen in there somewhere.

PHOENIX INVICTUS!
To put it as plainly as possible, if the DCnu doesn't include Power Girl, I won't be around for DC anymore. I had dropped all my DC books, but the Power Girl series brought back in, and I have been reading several titles since. Without PG, there is no DC for me. And I mean Power Girl, Karen Starr, Kara Zor-L, and not some combination of her and Supergirl.
For DC's sake, I hope this relaunch doesn't end up destroying the company.
It appears as though there will be no more power girl. This really sucks. I was loving the series. Love how they changed her character and made her important in the DCU. I would say she became a better and more modern fit for the trinity than wonder woman (who hasnt mattered in the DCU in a long time)! I was EXTREMELY excited for this relaunch. But the fact that they have eliminated my two favorite female characters ( Power Girl and Huntress), not really getting new creative talent just moving them around, and ALOT of these 90's Jim Lee costumes im just not feeling ( Black Canary and Perez Superman are just completly awful) have really soured my excitment for the relaunch....
I hate reading this because it's wrong. True, Power Girl doesn't have the exposure that most members of the Batman family/rogues do. Not as popular as Wonder Woman or Superman. Even Supergirl for that matter.
BUT
Having already known who all those characters were, I wasn't going to the comic book store. I wasn't buying comics. I was introduced to the Power Girl character through a promotional article on DC Universe Online the game. I found her interesting, I went to seek out more info on her. I learned her origin. I wasn't confused. I went to the comic book store. I bought Power Girl comics.
She is way too accessible and encompasses everything they've said they want to do with this whole initiative. To leave her behind would be a mistake.
