Oh I know, I wasn't implying everyone who hated the new costume did so because of the lack of the boob window, I just think its weird the few who are fixating on it so heavily.

Posted this on the main DC board but no one really seemed to care. So apparently Dawnstar is allowed to have a boob window and PG can't.

I wonder how long it will be before people start discussing Dawnstar without mentioning the boobs? Seriously, that seems to be Power Girl's sole claim to fame with her fans. I'm sure as soon as more mention Dawnstar's boobs over her abilities and character you will see that window closed.

Kind of makes your statement appear as what it is doesn't it: An appeal to motive.

The only people who fixate on the size of Powergirls boobs are stupid feminists (that would be feminists who are also stupid) & people who are to busy trying tell peoople who are actually interested in the character that the only reason they are interested is her impressive rack (totally the lamest form of "appeal to motive").

You don't need to like the character Fate, but don't try to dismiss the legitimate interest of readers as some sort of sexual fetish thing. I'm a fan of Power Girl, i've always found her to be a better role model then Wonder Woman (Powergirl didn't have an entire island of people backing her stupid idelogy) & i'm 100% female (so there goes any claim to being a breast obssessed male reader).

I think the character is far more than that but I'm not the one that is upset about a costume because you can see her boobs. i'm sure there was. I'm also sure that there are forums dedicated to baseball that had entire 100 page threads disussing the merit of the designated hitter rule: Doesn't mean that baseball is nothing but the designated hitter rule though does it. An mostly the discussion about the boob window is people who have been described above in my previous reply telling everyone else how evil, stupid or woman hating we all are if we don't agree.

Most? Ookay... Though I'm not sure 'intellectually dishonest' means what you think it does. I've said before, I like Power Girl which you've taken as dislike because I think there's too much focus on her breasts, in artwork and with her fans. I'm not sure how I can be accused of being dishonest since I've never seen her boobs the whole of the character. Now, if you want to accuse me of seeing her fans in this thread in a certain light, you would be correct. One poster said it best, he listed two things he liked about the character. The first one was her breasts. I think of all the other DC female characters and even Starfire doesn't have a body part listed by her fans as one of her main assests. But hey, its just a comic character and its one we're allowed to have some fun with in that regard since those who write her have fun in the same way. I just consider it too close to seeing the character as a joke. I actually like she's a little bigger than other characters in that way but it stops being a nice trait about the character when its becomes a focus of that character. No it isn’t. The stupid costume redesign was stupid, regardless of the boob window. Its just a straight up badly redesigned design.

For starters this is the previous costume, it does not include suspenders at all & it covers more then just her nipples.



An this is the new image, it is not cut down to her navel. Turns out the navel is not in the middle of the solar plexus… so again we are back to you being intellectually dishonest.

Personally, I DID like the boob window, but the new costume just screams "generic" to me. Not to mention the fact that I thought the boob window worked in a non-sexual way: I thought it fit the name POWER Girl, in the sense that she was overflowing with power and strength and her "pecs" were bursting forth. Maybe that's just me, though.

Actually, i'm a secular humanist so i dont worship anyone, or anything: So yeah kind of opposite of the States.
