I think that is her iconic look. I remember reading that her creators meant for her to have a big chest and they increased it whenever she appeared. When it got to be too much, they stopped and it stuck with her ever since. The boob window pushes it, and may not be necessary, considering she's had other costumes without it and still maintained her endowments.

The thing that just gets me is that the fan design posted here a few pages back that almost everyone likes or loves is very close to her iconic costume, and in any event just screams Power Girl----AND hits most of the objections DC seems to have had to her previous costume, while managing not only not to suck, but actually being a top-notch redesign, perhaps better than any of those DC itself has done in the reboot with any character. And they're not using it, but sticking with the horrible redesign their committee did.

I was wondering, is the Power Girl series by Grey and Palmiotti worth reading?

    YES

A thousand times yes. It's honestly worth it for the art alone. For me, Amanda Conner and her absolutely wonderful art is the star of this series, rather than Palmiotti and Grey. But the stories are good too. It really was a great (and all-too-short) run.

I know they did issues 1-12 and so my next question is whether 13-25 are worth reading as well?

I thought 13-25 was better to be honest

13-25 ties in with Justice League: Generation Lost. If you read and enjoyed that series, 13-25 is definitely worth picking up. If you didn't read JL:GL go out and pick it up, it's great.

I'm trying not to expand my series too much. I've just recently cut out a ton of stuff from my usually pick up. So if the 13-25 enjoyment rides on reading JLGL I might just read 1-12.

I wouldn't say it's entirely dependent on reading Generation Lost, but it does cross over a fair amount. 13-25 might stand fine on it's own (haven't read it in awhile) but if you're cutting back your reading list then your money is probably better spent elsewhere.

Thanks, I'll keep this in mind. I keep adding new things I want to read but never get around to it so it's piling up. Steph's Batgirl run, all the Bat year ones, starting new 52 Flash, BoP, Supergirl's arc in Superman/Batman, Ms. Marvel related things and now Power Girl =/

I'm almost done with the last trade and I have to wonder, did they ever do anything with Rahan Mazin's character?

Not really. I'm not aware of him showing up anywhere else than his 2 (3?) Power Girl appearances. Which is a shame, because I think that character had some long-term potential.

Not really, but the 4-issue Terra mini that lead into those first 12 PG issues is good. Same creative team.

Yeah, you don't really need the Gen Lost series to have fun with this. As long as you get the basic concept that Max is evil, you're good. Honestly, it all ends before issue #20 or so of Power Girl anyway, leaving at least 7 issues with nothing at all to do with Gen Lost, and the rest with nothing heavily tied in.
