Nice image and all, but then you actually READ the comic, and find out that the supposed "big, important" role she was supposed to play in that series was to serve as a hostage. That, and cry a lot. And then DC couldn't wait to start distancing her from the Superman Family. I think she was only included as a standard bearer for the old DCU Multiverse who served more as a plot point in the series than a character.

Yeah, since we've heard about the relaunch I haven't heard anyone refer to her as Power Girl. Only Karen Starr. If they are still only referring to her as Karen Starr as SDCC I think it is probably safe to assume the Power Girl identity is not going to be in the DCnU.

Maybe it's because he's been drawing her lately, but I wouldn't be surprised if this was Karen Starr over at Voodoo:

The first question was about Power Girl. "You will see Karen Starr in 'Mr. Terrific,'" Berganza said.

Great news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait for this book

She's going to be in Mister Terrific. Wallace had said last month that a JSA person would be in the book and that the JSA would be delt with.

Is it? He said "Karen Starr", not Power Girl, even though the question was again asked about Power Girl. And what would a character like Power Girl be doing in a book about someone like Mr. Terrific anyway, in anything other than a single arc appearance? He'd never have to do any fighting himself, because there would always be someone so vastly physically superior to him that it wouldn't make any sense.

At best, she's supporting cast as Karen only, just another tech mogul in the DCU. In essence, she'd have become Dr. Day from her own title, except possibly with better ways of doing business. At worst, she's a one arc only character who then goes back into limbo.

Either way, I don't see Power Girl herself making any appearances in the DCnU anytime soon. All that would seem to confirm this view.

If she was to be Power Girl, she would have appeared in something like JLI or Stormwatch or Justice League, not Mr. Terrific.

Power Girl, like the JSA, is dead.

Now there's a faint hope of something better than just tech mogul Karen Starr in Mr. Terrific.

Perhaps it's Agent Karen Starr of the DEO who appears in Mr. Terrific, and then the month after, in Voodoo. That at least would be more interesting, and a better use of the character---AND even hold out hope that she's still secretly Power Girl, but just hiding her powers to pose as a DEO agent. That said, I'm not holding my breath waiting for it.

I'll check out Mr. Terrific #1 just in case, and if that seems likely, maybe Voodoo #2 as well. But I doubt it.

It doesn't mean PG doesn't exist. Maybe she appears to Mr. Terrific as Karen Starr without the suit. That's not to say she isn't Power Girl she just isn't acting as PG here. If they are talking about the JSA, the liklihood is she is still PG on that team.

She also got one of the big logos that month they did those white covers. I think it says something too. I dunno, I guess I think she's just too marketable to shelve indefinitely.

But if she does appear as Power Girl later...why go to all the trouble to avoid saying the words "Power Girl"? They aren't doing that with any other character, AFAIK.

That just doesn't track. Official DC it seems only answers questions about Power Girl by replying "Karen Starr"...

At that time they didn't have a Super Teenager, so they went with what was at hand. I also agree, I don't like in San Diego or whatever Comic con is being held but if I could have attended damn straight I would have kept pestering them about my beloved character. I think PG fans need to be more vocal, and stop being embarrassed because their favorite character has a clevege window, or the biggest tata's in the DC Universe.
Rogue and Bishop's daughter would be called Discharge, and she'd touch people and drain all or some of their bioelectrical energy out of them causing them to either die or fall unconscious. She could then use this energy to extend her own life, heal herself, enhance her physical abilities (speed, strength, stamina,) or discharge it as various energy beams.
