Augie dips into unread bookshelf for two cool trade paperbacks, one a fun space opera and the other featuring the best Humberto Ramos art of the artist's career!

Always a kick in the gut being reminded that Meglia, Biukovic and so many others have passed at such young ages.

Ramos is a 90s style artist. But he's a 90s style artist that gets his work done and is fun like they want to make Spider-man again. Having see the Free Spider-man issue I can verify his ability to make Spider-man kinetic and give a sense of crazy fun.

I think I said somewhere else on this board of the three original Cliffhanger guys he became the only one who could do it on a schedule. His books went over 40 issue I believe and J. Scott's went 7 after several delays. Battlechasers was an amazing book and would of been legendary but after about four years he only got 9 issues out and the story wasn't nearly done.

Despite not being as popular as the other two Cliffhanger guys after a couple years doing several doing Spider-man, he's making those other two guys look bad.

Don't get me wrong. I love Campbell and Mad's stuff.
