I really hope they capture the insouciance and bonvivantry of the television show. The female lead took notes at the altar of Olivia Benson from L&O, and is as powerfully one-note as the hairdo can muster.

Wow, not sure if it's a good fit. I know humor is a bit of Castle's trademark, but it's usually a much more sophisticated kind of humor than the Bevis and Butthead stuff that Bendis usually delivers (Spider-man puking in his mask being the latest one). Love the TV show, but, no way am I getting near this.

I think it's a good idea but I'm just curious how its going to work. Kate won't be in it. It is the character he killed off right before he decided to create the character based on Kate. So unless it's them sitting in an apartment reading his books together then I doubt we will see Castle or Becket.

Because Disney owns both Marvel Comics and station ABC (the channel which broadcasts "Castle").

Just because it doesn't say so in the article doesn't mean it isn't true.

It's OK, if it is Avengers-style, it'll be mostly splash pages with little dialogue; if it is Powers though, watch out.

Avengers sux. Even the dialog is crap now. And with all these projects Bendis has going, it clear why.

Yes, I did. That can mean either twice as long to write or half as long to write. Either way, it's time spent on this instead of his other ton of commitments. The man is spread thin, and it's showing in his work.

I'm lost as to how this can be anything besides a good idea. If it gets Castle fans reading comics, that's awesome. If it gets comic fans watching Castle, again, awesome. I'm all for this, as Castle is the only tv show that I watch (besides Justified, which is also awesome).

I agree, this is probably going to be great. Bendis made his name writing detective/crime stories, and DeConnick writes dialogue like all good and stuff.
