Didn't care what the crowd thinks while I applauded Bruce Willis's introduction in the last scene of that trailer. Helps that I didn't take a look at the castings before seeing the trailer so I was pretty surprised they included him. Banking on Duke showing up in the final act though.

I'd rather watch the original version on a dtv than a re-cut with wack-ass channing tatum.

I think and it was a pretty small change....he was probably killed off at the beginning, and a reshoot with him in a coma is probably all that was done, thus leaving the door open if there are future films

For some reason this makes me want to watch the animated version of the same concept. Duke getting killed but revealed to be alive I mean

Not really. Michael Bell kicks ass.

I wonder why it is that Channing Tatum seems to have become the new Ben Affleck; the target for all sorts of internet/keyboard warrior snark (how's that turning out for you by the way)?

I don't know either...all the attention he gets from their moms and make believe girlfriends that live in Canada? I have no problem with him, he was a little stiff in his earlier films but was decent in 21 Jump Street

21 jump street & some horrible comedy with the king of queens, vince vaughn & wynona ryder in which channing was one of the only things that was funny are the only movies i've seen that he was in. he's OK with me.
Mr. Backlund continued wrestling under the new gimmick of an out of touch, yet highly dangerous, maniac out to teach the new generation a lesson.[3] He often appeared in business suits, had a hyperactive personality, and used (or, often, misused) large words to sound important. He also demanded that he be addressed as "Mr. Backlund". He would only sign autographs for wrestling fans if they could recite the names of all of the US Presidents in chronological order
