Default CBR: DeFalco, Frenz & Buscema Take "Superman Byond"

Tom DeFalco, Ron Frenz and Sal Buscema are set to produce their first work for DC Comics in decades in the just-announced "Superman Beyond" one-shot, a story based in the same continuity as the popular "Batman Beyond."

I would rather have seen what they would do on a normal Superman book.

Default Not Sal's first work for DC on Superman....

Ron and Randall Frenz and Sal Buscema produced a story arc at the end of the 1999 triangle period called "Strange Visitor". I love Sal's inks on Frenz. I think they look great.

I am very much looking forward to picking this up...almost as much as the Simonson/Bogdonove project thats coming out this summer!

I was just thinking that it would be cool to get to know the Superman of Beyond more.

I wish the artist would be replaced on Batman Beyond, though. I don't want to pay 2.99 for it.

I've thought so ever since "The Call," but I've also been rather unimpressed with anything relating to Batman Beyond that DC's brought out.

It's possible to work for more than one company and to work on multiple projects. I don't think this DC one shot is keeping them from working on Spider-Girl. Marvel cancelling Spider-Girl and giving the title to another character is what did that.

I like their work, so I'll be looking forward to this.

Not to derail this any further, but DeFalco didn't say he was DC exclusive. But more May Parker Spider-Girl was already highly unlikely, hence that "The End" story.

True, but the comic did ended with "The end...For now." So there is a possibility for it to come back someday.

Not anytime soon. They seem content to push Anya Corazon as the new Spider-Girl, and Defalco wasn't very diplomatic about that. I doubt any May stories will be seeing the light of day for a while.

    Default Why not Marvel?

I'd rather they were doing something for Marvel as I really enjoy their collaborations.
