Oh, so somehow she'll get to keep her powers after whatever causes the Spider Island incident is cured? And apparently she's got a few new things too?
And these hands she's going to be shaking and allying herself with have piqued my interest.
as expected spidergirl is the other spider mini...
i wonder how minis are there or oneshots
nevertheless i am going to get the trade of this...still waiting for the spidergirl vol.1 trade
Of all the spider-girls (Betty Brant Mayday) and spider-women (Jessica, Mattie, etc) this is the only female spidey knock-off version I've found the least bit interesting. I'm looking forward to this.
i have never read comics from her Arana days...
any info about the Society of the Wasp?
sounds good as a threat to spidey as well.
Makes sense.
I think it could also be fun to see a Spider-Island tie-in featuring characters who don't really have ties to Spider-Man.
Sounds great..

Pepe Larraz? Nice.

I have to change my post here. I'm dissapointed with Araņa (I can't call her Spider-Girl because there's only one true Spider-Girl for me, and she's not). I expected that Araņa would be another one between the "infected ones" and she would just keep her new spider powers. But it turns out that she's going to make a "deal with the devil" for them. If I was angry with Araņa before because using the name of "Spider-Girl".... NOW I'M FURIOUS!!

So....spoilers:end of spoilers
another Spider-man character makes a deal with the Kingpin to gain some powers
As if that hasn't been done before.![]()
She allies herself with the Kingpin, doesn't say he's the one that gives her powers. She gets them just like everyone else.
It's most likely a mutual alliance against the Order of the Wasp.

Maybe they could start explaining how she lost her powers in the first place
In the middle of the night...
They keep making the mistake of throwing all this stuff on Arana far too suddenly, nobody's been built to care about her enough for this to have any emotional investment, and any likeable traits of her world were snuffed out when her father died.
This book isnt going to sell beans.
Marvel has announced the return of Anya Corazon in "Spider-Island: The Amazing Spider-Girl," a 3-issue miniseries from writer Paul Tobin and artist Pepe Larraz tying into this summer's major Spider-Man event.

I just realized that the Kingpin with spider-powers is going to be awesome.
