And he can never get a better name than Rulk or Red Hulk. Am I the only who'd prefer I dunno maybe RedSmash or RedBolt or Gamma Devil or or ... anything?

I think the name Red Hulk is fine.

The old man just needs to die. There are countless appearances by the old blustering fool if anyone's interested. Go away ripoff Hulks. Go away! Nobody wants you here.

Isn't that how he beat Hulk? He sucks his energy? It should be the same with Iron Man.
i don't know about the energy, but he does suck, that much is for sure.

I smiled when Thor beat him down.

I also smiled when Thor put an end to Sentry... another overpowered, "have-him-make-other-established-characters-look-like-punks-so-we-know-how-powerful-he-is" character.

Red Hulk is okay, sometimes... but Loeb went too far with him, establishing my initial dislike of the character. I'm starting to be okay with a Red Hulk not written by Loeb. But that doesn't mean I want him around for more than a few more years, at the most.

Red Hulk should be the strongest not counting gods.
Red Hulk's energy absorption given him a bit of an edge, but the Hulk has beaten him regardless.

Going by raw strength, Hulk is able to surpass Red Hulk, and just about anybody else from Earth.

He got beat by the Hulk a couple of times, obviously. Then most people he wailed on came back for a second round: Thor, Iron Man, Lady Liberators, even the Watcher. Namor gave him a hard time too.

    As for joining the Avengers...

The best part was Banner smiling when Thor beat him down.

You know, I doubt Rulk would be as despised as he is if Loeb didn't have every single character job to him, just so he could make a name. It's poor writing. If you can't elevate a character on their own merits, without crapping all over other characters... you're doing a bad job.

Parker has made him somewhat interesting though. But that's Jeff Parker, he's awesome.

Anyway, doesn't Rulk get hotter the angrier he gets or something silly like that? Not stronger like Hulk, but hotter.

Agreed that little run of beating every powerhouse hero in the MU (and punching a Watcher? come on) pretty much locked Rulk in to always being hated by a strong following of folks.

I guess I've read Earth X too many times, because (since I was a kid) I never liked the freakin' Watcher, and I hate him now.

When Rulk slugged his hydrocephalic, bald ass, that solidified my LIKE for the character!

As I guy that did his share of internet whining when Thor got owned, I sort of smiled there too.

So I'll give Loeb credit where credit is due... he didn't throw Thor under the bus. They each kicked each other's behinds. That was at least fair.
