Now that the Brett Matthews/Sergio Cariello Lone Ranger series has ended (and the LR/Zorro series is not as good as the regular series) I can wholeheartedly agree that Atomic Robo is the single best series out there. If you haven't checked it out, you should. If you've only read the FCBD issues, you really should check out the others. You can pretty much pick up any single issue (or TPB) to start. You can read them in pretty much any order. Just read it.

I could not agree more with this thread. I just love the snappy witty dialogue. The more work Clevinger gets the better.

So I just discovered this (yes, I'm just like Christopher Columbus, I've discovered something millions of people knew about before me), thanks to the folks at Scans Daily. I bought all the volumes and FCBD issues Comixology has. So far, I've only read Volume 1 and FCBD "Why Atomic Robo Hates Dr. Dinosaur", but I already love it. It's fun and funny. I love the villains so far. It's the action-packed thrill ride of my summer.

I, too, am a recent convert to the adventures of Atomic Robo. Read the FCBD issue earlier this month and then bought vol. 4. Will be getting more of the tpbs soon!

For me, it's fighting Invincible and Chew for the top spot as best comic book out right now.

I recently picked up the first 2 volumes of the trades from Amazon and liked it alot. Volume three is out of print it appears, but I got lucky and found a new copy in a local bookstore so I grabbed it. Robo VS Lovecraftian monstrosities ftw! I'm a big HPL fan... :)

Two new Atomic Robo issues out yesterday!

The first issue of a new arc: Flying She Devils of the Pacific - I felt that this was a strong introductory issue. I am not knowledgeable about WWII fiction so don't know how much the premise has been explored before, but thought it was a great idea, and perfect for Robo's world. I am really looking forward to the rest of this story. The art was obviously superb as well. In particular scenes (the sunset) the colours seem a little richer than in previous stories. Overall, I don't think it was quite as good as the first issue of Ghost of Station X (but that would take some beating - it is one of my favourite issues of anything), but it probably gives a better indication as to what the arc will be about.

And issue 3 of Real Science Adventures was also out. I imagine everybody reading it knows what to expect at this point. Not as good as the main series, and definitely not something to recommend to somebody not a big Robo fan, but worth reading for some fun extra Robo stories. I can't quite get invested in the two serials in just four pages. I am looking foward to reading them together though. The best story yet (well tied with the Dr Dinosaur from the first issue) was Tesla's gang. I liked seeing them and it was a nice little story.

Have you read them, and what were your thoughts?

I was really disappointed with RSA after getting the first issue. My problem with it is that they tried to put too many small snippets of stories in the comic, to be followed up in the later issues with more equally short sections, as opposed to fewer but longer stories so that I could actually get interested in what's going on.

I 100% agree. If you read the pledges on the Atomic Robo website it is something the creators are conscious of. I especially appreciate the way women are not objectified.
