We have noted an increase in traffic on the Green Lantern forum.

Re-creating the Wonder Woman forum at the expense of the Green Lantern forum is a joke at our expense. Wonder Woman has ONE, ONE comic. Green Lantern has FOUR. Green Lantern has a movie, and a animated series. Wonder Woman has NONE of the above.


Why did they do this? The GL forum made me enter more in CBR, because I would't get lost in the deluge of discussion that is the DCU forum. I usually entered Superman & Green Lantern, while avoiding Batman like a plague and ocasionally going to DCU.

I know it sucks to lose a forum you like. I still miss the Annihilation board we had five or six years ago. We don't make this kind of decision lightly, but when we do it's because we think it's in the best interests of the forums as a whole.

(Also, I'm relatively sure the Wonder Woman forum predates this iteration of the Green Lantern forum.)

Maybe, but Wonder Woman is currently very peripheral, while Superman, Green Lantern and Batman are clearly the three most important parts of the DCU. So, essentially you're making a forum where people post for one comic. Batfans post for lots of comics, Superfans post about four comics, GL fans post about four comics, WW post for one. Simple mathematics, really.

I might sound like someone entitled, but the WW forum has almost no growing potential, while Green Lantern is growing and prospering.

If the WW forum was unable to sustain itself it would be eliminated as well, but that just isn't the case. You're letting personal taste dictate what you think deserves a forum, and ignoring the only math that matters; The GL forum didn't have the activity to support its existence any longer.

It shocks me as well. But again these dudes know the traffic numbers and posts. I never would imagine a GL forum would fail where a WW would work.
