Poor form not mentioning Thor from "Adventures in Babysitting", as portrayed by Vincent D'Onofrio.

So until now, Thor could be harmed by bullets?
I thought him creating a whirling shield with Mjolnir was just to show off. Are there any incidences of him actually getting shot and wounded?
It was one of those writer depended things. During the Silver Age Thor had some weird weakness to artillery where the lower the caliber, the seemingly more vulnerable he was to it. Over the years he grew more resistant to artillery. There was one scene where a bullet pierced his skin but bounced off of his skull doing no damage. There's also a few scenes where bullets bounce off.
Like I said, it depended on the writer.
Current Thor is definitely not a lot more powerful than his classic incarnation. I don't know what the article writer is talking about.
My favourite Thor is 'Thor The Mighty Avenger' by Roger Langridge / Chris Samnee / Matt Wilson - a wonderful romance tale with Thor / Jane Foster (as a museum curator) - a beautiful tale that sadly ran its course by the 8th issue
Looking forward to see the film..
I didn't want to go too far afield with all the future and alternate reality versions... and if we start going as far as Adventures In Babysitting, we'd really be here all day :) I included Bill and Masterson because they were notable and enduring stand-ins for Thor, but otherwise I wanted to keep it focused on the god himself.
(and Dargo is not from the Guardians' era... they had a Thor who had turned into a drunken loser, and was succeeded by his son Woden)
I couldn't quote you the issue of the top of my head, but I do recall Thor getting a bullet wound to the arm a few years back, and Tom Brevoort having to defend the story against an army of irate fans. His lack of bulletproofness became quite an issue.

I admit I find the new costume kind of dull for comics. It's kind of bland.
I was reading the X-Men issues where the Avengers show up to help the X-Men against onslaught and there's shirtless Thor and Teen Ironman. The only thing is they don't mention he's 'teen' Iron man in the issue. So, his dialogue may seem strange to some.
The Thor costume from The Crossing era remains one of my favorites as does the Eric Masterson Thor, simply because I was introduced to Thor when Masterson was wielding the hammer.
What Did I Buy This Week? Captain America#5 & #6

Umm... no mention of when Thor was trapped as a frog?
Decent feats I guess but how exactly are they supposed to prove that Thor is any stronger much less much stronger now than before? His nearly killed Galactus, survived in the heart of Stars and gone toe to toe with an amped Destroyer in the past.
If there is any difference, I'd argue Thor has gone down the food chain around the Onslaught saga period for whatever reason. At least imo.
Lots of Thor incarnations missing, if you go and make such work, at least make it good. Thor Frog, Egiptian Thor, Lord of Midgard Thor, Shirtless Thor, 90's Thor with the long chain attached to Mjolnir, Erik Masterson Thor - the version previous to Thunderstrike - and more.
