Next thing you know, I'll start acquiring Frank Robbins issues of Invaders.

    Wait -- that's already happening.

Post-con I traded the four floppies of JLA/Avengers and a few other duplicates with Rob Allen for a sweet copy of DC Special #29 (origin of the pre-Crisis JSA).
Nice. I've got a full run of DC Special except for that issue, for which I've been having to make do with a digest anthology reprint appearance ... though surely it's been reprinted in full-size format somewhere at this late date. (If so, the GCD doesn't yet list it.)

But would you believe that in that whole huge dealers' room, nobody had a copy of the Essential Rawhide Kid?
Oh, the humanity! My used copy from an eBay seller arrived just a couple of days ago ...

I think I have Red Wolf #1, which I wanted to display with the Bowen MB I have.

I have all the Invaders stuff, but in tpb's.

lo and behold one shows up in my ebay saved searches for equivalent of $7

the same thing happened to me with Conan the Rogue, i paid $50 for one after looking to no avail , then one turns up shortly after for only $15 on ebay

Some eBay searches need to be deleted &/or never pursued, simply for one's peace of mind, I've found.

That issue is reprinted in the Justice Society TPB vol 1 (reprinting the 70's revival)

Ah -- that's the other (& much more palatable, from an aesthetic standpoint) place I've got it, then. Thanks!

It's like what Dr. Zaius told Heston in Planet of the Apes: Don't look for it, Taylor. You may not like what you find.

Got a corner-dinged (judging from the description) copy of THUNDER Agents Archives vol. 2 (I've had the first volume for years, but that's it) from an Amazon Marketplace seller for not much more than I normally pay for a Showcase Presents. Not bad at all.

Wasn't planning on getting this, but I've been buying what few issues of the Atlas revival are slowly coming out.

My LCS had found this and saved it esp for me. How could I turn it down ?

I recently got myself a copy of the first Age of Reptiles trade and I'm pretty excited. I've never read the series, but I've seen a lot of the art and it looks amazing so I thought I'd give it a try and it was well worth it. It's a new side to the comic book medium I've never really seen before until now.

Some cream of the crop comics have finally come into my possession...stuff like the JLA cosmic vamp issue, Flash vs. Superman, 1st Ghost Rider/Spidey team-up and Shanna #1 I've had on want lists for several years. Always nice to finally have them!

And the best of the rest...Comic Book is by the Ren and Stimpy artist, Phase 1 is a scarce 70's fanzine, nice writer/artist combo on Freak Show, and Wally Wood's Strange Worlds of Sci-Fi is consolation for missing out on the Artist's Edition.

It's a decent price. That's the 3rd appearance of Jonah Hex. He's not on the cover, though, other than a little head shot, so it's maybe not quite as valuable as it would be otherwise (though the El Diablo cover is really sweet). On the other hand, it's still during the "52 Big Pages" era, so it's a little bit harder to find in nice condition due to being oversized. $85 is silly for a VG copy, but I think $20 would be reasonable. There's one on ebay now in VG+ for a buy it now price of $15 but that doesn't include shipping. So $7 is a good deal if you are interested in Jonah Hex, but you probably wouldn't be able to make a profit on it if you were considering trying to flip it or something.

When I was a kid back in the 80's, a guy my dad knew gave me almost a whole set of 70's Atlas. But I've never seen this one before. Very cool.
