I don't understand the parents who toss out a kids collection of comics or sports cards. Because my parents don't like me collecting as much. But they'd never toss my stuff out.

All low-grade readers: I used gift $ to buy eight issues that complete my run of Fantastic Four #150-200, four want-list issues of Superman, and about thirty want-list issues of Action Comics. Not working on a full run, more of a best-of. My want list for those two titles finally being empty, I'm actually going to sit down this month (or month-and-a-half) and READ every Superman & Action story I have from "The Super-Key to Fort Superman" through "Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?" I counted it up, and it's about 140 comics--a mere pittance, compared to how many were printed, but again, this is a "highlights" collection.

But I may read those Fantastic Four issues first.
Anyway, it is cool for you to acquire acrimony of crumbling time on blast this website.

I've started off the year using a New Year's Day sale at a LCS to start work on my 2013 goal of finishing off my Avengers collection. I picked up 4 issues: 121, 142, 160, and 173. That leaves me 26 issues to go. With a start like this I just might actually finish the run this year!

Well parents come with all sorts of backgrounds and temperaments. Some are quite happy to throw out items, to teach a lesson they feel must be learned. Some of the worlds famous comic artists and writers have related their own stories of parents who either threw out or ordered their child to tear up their comic book collection. With DebkoX situation its hard to know what kind of dynamics are happening behind the scenes because the member hasnt related any details except to say that they cannot buy any comics. I feel bad for them because comic books have brought me so much joy over the many years I have been reading them.

    No, sadly.

It's essentially a bunch of Who' Who entries on Batman villains provided in anticipation of Batman #400, except that they aren't official Who's Who entries, which makes the issue extra redundant.

Took me forever to get this one inexpensively because Harlan Ellison wrote it, but I found it another wildly disappointing read that completely mis-characterized Batman.

Still -- another cool cover from the era. Nice find!

Came across an acceptably dirt cheap copy from Lone Star of Weird Suspense #3, leaving me lacking only Tales of Evil #2 from owning all the spinner-rack (as opposed to the magazines; Movie Monsters & Gothic Romances aren't really on my radar, though I did buy every ish of the former when it came out) Atlas Seaboards aside from Vicki (of which I do have #1).
I tend to split superhero comics fans into "People who like Krypto" and "People who don't like Krypto."
Basically, if you miss the wonder of a dog flying around in a little Superman cape, you're in the wrong hobby.

It's a bummer to hear that those Detective stories aren't all that, because that is a streak of awesome covers Zryson has.
