I have the opportunity to purchase a copy of the Monster Society of Evil in high grade for about US $80. Worthwhile? I'm dragging my feet a little - anyone out there read it or maybe the Capt Marvel stuff it reprints? I have read almost no GA Capt Marvel. Is a child of the 80's likely to enjoy it?

I think if you like Capt Marvel a person would enjoy it. I bought a HC Captain Marvel book recently and it only featured Golden Age stuff and I thought it was interesting (having already looked through the book several times.)

Nice pickups with the Warren mags. I've been keeping my eye out for some but with little luck lately. I did just get two issues of The Spirit though

Another bulk Bronze Age purchase, this time with just a little Silver Age mixed in. I bought these 34 Action and Superman issues:

    Superman: 206, 231, 237, 244, 253, 257, 270, 274, 300, 313, 335, 355, 360, 361, 400, 422
    Action: 293, 341, 367, 392, 403, 404, 406, 408, 410, 413, 414, 422, 428, 429, 430, 445, 483, 486

For $40 (shipping included), or $1.18 each. I'm pretty happy with this, particularly with the Action issues. The guy was selling much larger lots of both titles, but he agreed to break out just the issues I needed so I wouldn't be wasting money on more doubles.
At last, Boy Comics finally gets its own website!

Got back on the Spidey train...these were listed as Good but I think the 89 and 68 might fare a little better. 74 looks to have some decent spine wear and split but they were all listed as complete. Plus for about $6.75 each (shipping included), I think I made out okay.

Just ordered Special Edition Series 1: Captain Marvel, stories from Whiz Comics #7-28, 320 pages, the seller claims the condition as "like new." I paid $35 + shipping. I suspect these are black-and-white volumes, like Essentials or Showcase Presents, but for double the price.

Is this the version from '74 or so? These were basically fan-produced books, and this was before computer scanning or even Theakstonizing, so not sure of the quality.

Yeah, I'm loving these things. Some are older than his comic covers. I think I've tracked down 2-3 more of them but they are a bit more than I want to spend. We'll see...

I am currently working on the Moore Swamp thing run. I am nearly finished with it. Can't believe I haven't read it yet.

Wow, so am I. I had the entire run but it was swiped from my home by my sons friends I suspect. Buying them back has cost over 50-60 bucks so far but #37 is the pricey one. (First appearance of Constantine).
