Got a cheap Doctor Solar Man of the Atom Archives vol 4 from Amazon Warehouse deals for only £4.37 delivered! Its listed as "acceptable" but when ive got stuff from awd in the past theyre usually very conservatively graded so i expect it will be decent.

There is another one listed if anybody from the UK wants to grab a deal.

Picked up a copy of Jerry Robinson: Ambassador of Comics by N.C. Christopher Couch for $8. Looking forward to reading it when it gets here.

on a similar note, I have ordered Essential Ghost Rider vol 1 via an Amazon Warehouse deal partially base upon Cromagnon's recommendation about the quality of their items- Fingers crossed this works as I've been looking out for a reasonable deal on this for ages.
Nothing to see here folks, go home

This is only in VG condition at best, but for a few bucks it's a steal:

    DC Magic Giant:

Also got a near-complete run of Dazzler. Interesting back-story behind the creation of her: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dazzler

    Few more:

Strange men in black suits have been wandering around my neighborhood ever since I got this:

And any retro-throwback hero with the name Gravity is cool with me:

Nice! That Marvel 2-in-1 is one of the top issues on my "to buy" list of books with Spidey appearing in it. I am holding out for a higher grade copy...or stumbling across one for a few bucks like you have

I recently had delivered to me:

    Tintin: Le lotus bleu
    Le rayon 'U'
( both because of recommendations from the European comcis thread)

    scattered issues of:
    Creepy
    The Spirit (70s Warren reprints)
    Sub-Mariner
    Defenders
    Weird Worlds
    Star*Reach
Giant-Size Werewolf (missed all these at the time for some reason, even though I followed the regular series, Werewolf by Night)
Deadly Hands of Kung Fu (not one of my favourite Marvel b&w series, but can't pass up more Moench-written Shang-Chi)
and a few other odds and ends I forget at the moment

Mark Schultz did the cover. The interiors were done by Keith Martin. I too own this trade. Its a nice little Rocketeer ripoff but done well enough that it holds on its own.

Yep -- pretty solid. Can't remember offhand if I own the trade or the individual issues (as well as the other mini & a one-shot or two).
I tend to split superhero comics fans into "People who like Krypto" and "People who don't like Krypto."
Basically, if you miss the wonder of a dog flying around in a little Superman cape, you're in the wrong hobby.

ooh, bad miss on my part. Still, nice cover. Too bad Schultz doesn't do much drawing anymore.

Picked up a couple of comics by Gotlib (Rhaa Lovely, Rha GnaGna and Rubrique-à-brac). The art-style appeals to me, but the humour is mostly miss for me. Could be that it's lost in translation (I have dutch versions), though none of it seems to be pun-based or otherwise language-related.
